We were joining a larger group tour 2 days after our arrival in Barcelona. We asked Alessandro to arrange a walking tour that would visit other areas of the city and not overlap the group tour itinerary. We also asked to arrange a day trip out of Barcelona. After providing our interests, we left the rest to him. He provided a suggested itinerary and reserved the entry tickets and train tickets ahead of time so that everything went smoothly His educational background in history was obvious. Day in Girona with my 9yo nephew and Ivanna could not have been better. We took the train out, spent time together talking about the history, amazing sushi, beautiful views of the city and great ice cream for the ride home! Irina was my local for a day in Girona and she was truly amazing. It felt like I had hired a friend. She was so nice and accommodating. She was professional yet personable. I really wanted to experience Girona the way the locals do and she provided me with that experience. Every church, Gelateria and cafe she took me to was part of the Girona I was looking for. She also gave me tips of Restaurant’s and place to visit along with helping me find my way around the train station. The second tour with Ivanna went to Girona and to Tossa de Mar with a short swim event. Everything was perfectly prepared here too and it was an incredible experience. The view from the castle was amazing. She came up with several alternatives to design the route with us. The hours flew by. Nevertheless, she tooks extra time to show us more. Seb was amazingly communicative before the day of our tour, so that it was clear what the day would be like, and what the timing would be because I had to catch a plane later that day. He picked me up from my hotel and we headed north. The ride was very comfortable and pleasant, and Seb and I chatted about all kinds of things. Once in Girona, Seb provided a nice background and history of the area, and we walked the entire city, from the wall surrounding the city (you walk ON the wall) to the Jewish quarter, to the cathedral, etc. I had never been to Girona and Seb was the perfect guide to introduce me to the city and to spend the day with. I liked what we saw and did - Girona is pretty - but would have liked more time there getting there at 10:15 and then catching the 13:30 train back made the experience feel a bit rushed. There were some architecturally interesting buildings near the station that I would have liked to have seen. Also, we spent less time in the Jewish museum than we probably would have done without the time pressure. I would rather have paid a bit more for more time and a more relaxed experience.Girona Daytrip

Sebastian delivered with facts, highlights, history, architecture, and music in this wonderful visit to Girona. Game of Thrones notwithstanding (we haven't watched one whole episode), there is much merit is visiting this fascinating place. Some of the stairs are steep, but Sebastian easily modified the ascent to the top of the Roman walls for us. Recommended tour, highly recommended guide. By the way, he sings and plays guitar on the opening page musical trailer on the Withlocals app.Spectacular!!

My wife and I booked Ilona for a tour of the beautiful Medieval city of Girona, Spain. We met her at the train station in Barcelona at a pre-determined spot and time and she was right on time. She handled all the rail travel details and we had great conversation on the way to Girona. We walked the wall built by Romans and toured the Jewish Quarter along with a visit to the Museum of Jewish History. We visited the Girona Cathedral and Ilona made sure we had a great restaurant to take a lunch break and experience some delicious local cuisine and wine. Ilona has great knowledge and speaks perfect English. We highly recommend a tour with Ilona! Thanks Ilona, we really enjoyed a fantastic day with you as our tour guide!!!! We enjoyed our time with Ilona. She was very knowledgeable and took her responsibilities as a tour guide very seriously. Both in communicating ahead of time and day of our tour, Ilona took the time to discover what we were interested and incorporated that into her remarks. While our tour was the Gaudi tour, I appreciated that Ilona incorporated the history and background that led to Catalunyan Modernisme, as well as showed us and talked about architecture by others from that time period. Ilona gave us the right amount of information, not overwhelming us without too much detail yet making sure we understood the most important points. We walked all over the Gothic Quarter, the Jewish Quarter, La Rambla, the Roman Temple of Augustus, Cathedral of Barcelona, and so much more. He was so knowledgeable about the history of Barcelona, the culture, the people. He pointed out little things here and there that as a casual tourist you would never notice. Antonio is a delightful guide. He pointed out so many sights on-the drive from Barcelona and in the small nation of Andorra. One unfortunate aspect - which was due to our choice and for which Antonio is not in the least responsible - was our need for a six passenger van. Three of us had to sit facing backwards and viewing was adverse, especially those in the center seats. Antonio was in the front (although he offered to sit in the back) and we had se difficulty hearing everything he talked about. Nevertheless, Antonio was very accommodating to personalize our interests. Andorra is beautiful

We absolutely loved our tour with Maria! We did five tours in total on our trip, and while they were all excellent, my 13-year-old daughter declared this one as her favorite. Maria is so warm, kind, and knowledgeable. She was great with my kids and tailored the tour so that it was enjoyable for them and for us. It felt more like meeting up with an old friend versus meeting someone new. She also offered to keep in touch with us throughout our stay to help us with additional recommendations for restaurants and activities. While on our cruise, we realized we had 3.5 hours after we disembarked in Barcelona before we needed to check in for our flight. After an awesome Barcelona pre-cruise food tour with Vicky, we decided we wanted her to pick us up at the Cruise Port, see some more of Barcelona and then drop us off at the airport. Vicky developed an itinerary with the cost, emailed it to me for approval and then she and the driver picked us up at the Cruise Port. Another awesome tour of a wonderful city with a rich history, culture and food. We stopped and toured around the Olympic Village and walked along the beach. We stopped at a noted Paella restaurant for a very tasteful lunch. After taking a post lunch walk and visiting two Chocolate stores, it was time to head to the airport. Highly recommend that you engage Vicky in any tour that she leads! She has become family and we can’t wait to visit Barcelona again to have her show us more highlights. Our original tour guide canceled on us but Octavio jumped right in and saved the day! We only had a few hours in Barcelona and wanted to see as much as we could. Octavio showed us so many sites and gave us history lessons that included a wide knowledge of architecture styles of buildings/homes and monuments/art pieces. He showed us some of his favorite things as well. The churros with chocolate dipping sauce were sooo good! We ended it all with a glass of champagne and a really good restaurant recommendation. We toured Barcelona with Octavio in July ‘25. We did a 3 hour walking tour and it was great. He took us beyond the main sites and provided great insight and explanations. We had two teenage boys and the brief was to keep it high energy and entertaining. Octavio did this - interesting stories, food markets and a detour to the best Churros in town! He left us with a heap of restaurant, bar and ice cream recommendations, so we benefitted from his guiding for several days thereafter. We had an unforgettable time at Montserrat with Ivanna. This was our second time booking a tour with her and it’s always a pleasure. The ride up the mountain was great, she had the foresight to ask if I was afraid of heights (which I am!) and made accommodations to avoid using the cable car.
