We started our trip to Tokyo with a tour from Gulay, and she gave us so many helpful hints about everything from the train system to the history of the area. My multi-generational family and I booked a tour with Sheilina for our very first morning in Japan to both get acquainted with the city and recover from jet lag. Sheilina was super flexible and really looked out for both my elderly parents and the needs of my kids, who were by the end getting exhausted due to jet lag. We loved the combination of learning about history and religion and felt it prepared us to be good guests at temples and shrines later in our trip. We ate very well on the tour with some recommended snacks and Sheilina helped us connect with a great restaurant for lunch after. Thank you for everything!Great, flexible tour for families

Our tour with Gulay was super informative, interesting, and fun. Ahead of our tour, Gulay was responsive and asked about any special needs and was flexible in adapting to a late change in our schedule. Our tour focused on Asakusa and Kappabashi starting at the beautiful Senso-ji Temple. We could have viewed it by ourselves but we would have missed so much! She explained a lot of the history and back story to how the Temple came to be there and all of the buildings that make up the whole complex including the gates, halls, five-storied pagoda, etc. She explained the stories depicted in the murals that we would have otherwise just walked past. She pointed out buildings of interest nearby and their story, then taking us down Nakamise-dori, a shopping street and then Kappabashi for knife and kitchen wares shopping which we wanted to go for great deals for gift shopping (I'm not a shopper otherwise). All this and she kept it moving and interesting, even giving us some locals treats. At the end, she helped guide us to getting to the baseball game after the tour. Gulay was a joy to spend our first jet lagged morning in Tokyo. Our kids are 10 and 12 years old and she made our 3 hour tour around Asakusa interesting and enjoyable for both the kids and the adults. She taught us how to pray at two different temples, gave us some history of the area, showed us the BEST foods to try (come hungry!) and continued to text great tips after our tour. I definitely recommend a tour with her towards the beginning of your stay. She was an absolute joy to be around too. Just the right amount of calm energy we were seeking with our jet lag. I would definitely recommend booking her and would love to see her again the next time we are in Tokyo. Amazing day in Asakusa - 2 kids/ 4 adults

We had 24 hours to spend in Tokyo and wanted to see as much as possible. We booked our tour with Sheilina and she was very accomdating with our schedule and short notice booking. We selected Tokyo history and Asskusa tour and had chosen Carlos based on favorite reviews on website. Also, our previous experience with same company in Kanazawa was a very positive one. However, unfortunately experience with Carlos was on the opposite side. He was barely engaged, shared very little and rather had to be prompted to share information. While walking streets in Asskusa said a little about the area just pointing out to some local business. Although tour supposed to last 3 hours he wanted to end it 30 min earlier and only after our questions “volunteered” to take subway with us in the direction we were going next anyway. Tokyo is a beautiful city and Carlis has a pleasant personality but as a personal tour guide he certainly failed to help us appreciate the Tokyo rich history and beauty.Disappointing experience want a refund

Seden could is so experienced at doing the Sensoji Temple tour she could probably do it in her sleep. It's just as well because it was pouring with rain on the day of the tour and the temple was crowded as it was a festival day. Seden deserves a medal for completing the tour in such conditions. If that wasn't already going beyond the call of duty, she even helped me get a table at a local okonomiyaki restaurant after the tour was over.Soldering on despite the environment

My wife and I had the absolute pleasure of taking The History of Tokyo: Sensoji Temple & Asakusa District Tour with Gulay, and it was hands down one of the most memorable parts of our Japan trip! Sedan is a wonderful host and guide! She not only shared her knowledge about the neighborhood, temples and shrines - but also provided a detailed history of Tokyo and Japan. She’s very knowledgeable, well spoken, patient and generous with her time. When we share that we have specific dietary restrictions (Halal), she prepared a list of restaurants nearby that would accommodate us. She even spoke to street vendors and restaurants during the tour to ask about their ingredients and cooking practices before we purchased anything. She’s very kind and thoughtful. What a wonderful introduction to the fascinating and beautifully preserved Asakusa! Sheilina was such a fabulous guide. Even though the day was not perfect weather wise it didn’t affect our tour at all. She had a vast understanding of the history, culture and local hidden gems of Asakusa and she was able to fit so much in our 3 hour tour. My friends and I had an amazing experience with Sayuri in Asakusa! She was extremely helpful, communicative, knowledgeable, and just genuinely fun to be with. When I booked the tour a few weeks in advance, Sayuri reached out ahead of time about a schedule conflict. Fortunately, we had the option to stick with her and tour a different day, which was absolutely the right decision. She did a great job showing us all the ins and outs of the Asakusa district and introduced us to a whole load of new snacks and foods on top of it. To top it off she even managed to help us pick a place and make reservations for dinner later that day! Sheilina is definitely a 5 star guide! Enjoyed a fabulous walking tour with her in the Asakusa area and Sensoji Temple. Her knowledge of historical info and cultural insights were greatly appreciated. It was special to see the traditional Edo period architecture and speciality stores on the many side streets we explored. Lots of fun sampling various local delicacies from the Asakusa area and getting shopping tips too! She made it a wonderful and enjoyable experience even on a rainy day. Sheilina also has great sightseeing suggestions for other areas like Kamakura. We visited there and saw beautiful shrines which were even more impressive than Tokyo. Lots of interesting eateries, scenic parks and local shops. It was easy to get there on the train from Shibuya Station. I actually preferred Kamakura to Tokyo for sightseeing.Excellent, knowledgeable, friendly guide
