Artur was communicative from the start, recommending an easier meeting spot from our hotel, restaurants and specific places to visit based on our daughter’s interests. Artur was accommodating, knowledgeable and friendly even checking on us the next day when the threat of fires closed down roads to Sintra. We LOVED Inês! She accommodated our group tour with grace and ease. She was SO kind, celebrating my daughter’s 7th birthday with us by showing us a favorite local ice cream place. She even brought her a candle—so thoughtful! We greatly enjoyed her depth of knowledge about the history of Lisbon, as well as the ease with which she navigated our large party of adults and children around the city. It was also such a gift to hear her sing to our group in authentic Portuguese Fado—brought tears to my eyes and was an experience that captivated our whole group and all the passerby. We had a fascinating tour of Lisbon with Andre. It was based around the route of the Tram 28 but it was so much more than that. Lots of walking too! We got a lot of the history and what it’s like to live in Lisbon now. We saw the sights and really got a good feel of the place. Would recommend Andre. Great experience with Andre

Good evening Ines, just back from a delightful Portugese tapas style meal near our Hotel. Thank you for the wonderful adventure we enjoyed so much through Lisbon. So many places we would never venture to visit on our own!! It was a shame about the tram, but that’s life, so be it, and isn’t the end of the world and an opportunity to improvise!! Ines was terrific! She has an easy-going manner and a sense of humor. We learned so much about the Portuguese culture, history, and architecture while she was navigating us through the winding streets to interesting neighborhoods that we would not have found on our own. Wir hatten eine traumhafte schöne Führung mit Luís! All die Informationen über Geschichte, Hintergründe, Entwicklung der Stadt und auch persönliche Erfahrungen der eigenen Familie wurden so kurzweilig und interessant rüber gebracht, dass es von Anfang bis Ende spannend blieb. Vorab schon gab es eine tolle Kommunikation, wo wir nach Wünschen und Ablauf gefragt wurden. Auch die Restaurant Tips unter Berücksichtigung der genannten Unverträglichkeiten waren Gold wert. Eine davon haben wir gleich nach Ende der Tour umgesetzt und wurden nicht enttäuscht. Man hat gemerkt, dass Luís sein Job Spaß macht. Uns wurde weitaus mehr geboten, als wir erwartet hatten. Sowohl inhaltlich, als auch zeitlich. 1000 Dank für diesen tollen Tag! Einfach perfekt!

We truly enjoyed our tour with Inês. She was extremely accommodating and ensured we learned a lot at a pace that felt reasonable for everyone in our group. Inês is extremely friendly and quickly won over our 6- and 8-year olds by sharing fun facts about each of the places that we saw as well as their interests, which she asked for ahead of time. She was a wealth of information on Lisboa and also gave us great advice for the remainder of our trip. She was thoughtful to build in breaks and fun stops for the kids. From the wine talk and tasting to the relaxing boat ride to the delicious lunch, it was a lovely day! The views were unbeatable and Tiago was personable, fun, and kind. The laid back approach to the day was certainly appreciated and provided a much-needed respite from our tight travel schedules. When we arrived back in Porto, Tiago even took the extra time to drive us around the area, stop at the beach, grab ice cream, and share his recommendations for lunches and dinners. Carlos was incredible — he shared his wealth of knowledge and love for Lisbon with us and was able to answer so many of our questions. He was warm, friendly, and so much fun to spend the day with. Our hidden gems tour with Arthur was truly a gem. Author was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. He showed us the "must see sights" as well as some interesting locations that we would have never found on our own. He shared history, folklore and even tips on how to best navigate the city. He showed us the best photo spots, the best views and off the beat and path restaurants (He even walked us over to a local restaurant and spoke to the owner to ensure we had a dinner reservation later that evening. Een nieuwe stad ontdekken met onze kinderen in onze moedertaal. Moesten we gewoon proberen. Wat eek toffe madame is Veerle, we lieten ons meeslepen door de doolhof aan straatjes, stapten mee in haar enthousiasme eb genoten van de view, de weetjes, de leuke winkeltjes, … Veerle weet waar ze mee bezig is, ze kent de stad en geeft haar liefde voor Lissabon en de omliggende streek al te graag door. André was timely, so knowledgeable, funny, patient and ressourceful. He was very patient with our 3 kids (15,12 and 9) who spent 30min in the oldest bookstore atop in business. He had great and funny stories that our kids engaged and provided great addresses for restaurant and pastries. Despite the extreme heat, he offered us a 3h tour and took the metro with us all the way to the restaurant. He is a true historian that loves to share his passion or Portugal. I did my research and read up on all the many With Locals guides, determining David might be a most accommodating, experienced and intelligent host, and yes, he definitely was, kept our active, love-to-walk group of four adults on a wonderful route, engaging us both by expertly framing our stops/time (and teaching us most helpful navigation hacks) and responding to our ideas/questions and needs. In brief: we wanted city/neighborhood history AND corresponding visual and culinary stops, so he made time for views and both a sweet treat and a most delightful lunch. We truly did not know or cared if our time would end as the day spent with David felt more like being with a college friend you knew lived in Lisbon touring with you than a newly-met friend! Wir hatten David einen Vormittag mit unserer 2 jährigen Tochter angefragt und unsere Erwartungen wurden übertroffen. Neben Geschichte über Lissabon haben wir auch viel über Portugal früher und heute erfahren. David hat uns so geschickt durch die Stadt geführt dass wir den Kinderwagen nocht einmal tragen mussten. Er hat uns kleine Geschäfte gezeigt an denen wir achtlos vorbeigeloffen wären und Tipps für den weiteren Aufenthalt gegeben die wirklich genial waren. Auch etwas extra Zeit war drinnen wenn unsere Tochter mal Tauben fangen versuchte. Es war eine super Entscheidung die Tour zu buchen und wir können es nur empfehlen.Toll für klein und groß

We did the tastings tour with David on the afternoon we arrived in Lisbon. Our flight was a little delayed, and David was fine to push our start time back a half hour. We loved the time we spent with him! He gave us some great knowledge about Lisbon, and we got to try a few different items. He gave us the history on many of the drinks and foods we had, and that was awesome. He also gave us the names of some restaurants and bakeries to try, and some tips on how to get around the hills - we definitely used some of his info! He was in no rush, and our tour went over the two hours. It was definitely like walking around with a friend. Great experience!Like walking around Lisbon with a friend!
