Great tour with Yula! She did a great job tailoring the experience to our request, we started from the old mosque in Kotagede, went to a local market and tried lots of local snacks, and went to a silver shop. We had extra time at the end to go to Taman Sari. The highlight was chatting with Yula and learning about life in Yogyakarta.Great walking tour with Yula!

Yula is a lovely tour guide. We enjoyed her company for 6 hours for back to back culture and food tours. She patiently answered all our questions about Java, most of which had nothing to do with food. We visited local sites, rode a tuktuk, stuffed our selves with Indonesian food and had a lively walk down the main street. We recommend!Great experience

I really enjoyed the tour "Javanese Heritage", during which Yula guided me through the ancient Mosque. She was well prepared, kind, patient, open midend, generous and curious. Our family had only few hours to spend in the city and choosing Yula was a wise decision. She accommodated our needs in terms of time and length of the tour. She showed us some areas we wouldn’t have visited on our own and in the meantime she explained to us the history of Yogyakarta. We even tried some yummy Javanese snacks. On a hot day we met Muhanif/Andy in front of the Mosque in Kota Gede. He showed us the Mosque and the surounding neighboorhood. With different traditional indonesian style buildings and some kolonial style buildings. We ended with a visit to a Javanese/indonesian traditional museum. Andy was a very nice guide sometimes struggling with some english words but overall good company and enthousiastic. For us it was a beautifull experience to get a look into a not so touristic part of Yogyakarta. We recommend it! Very nice tour with Muhanif

It was a lovely experience exploring Yogyakarta with Yulaikha. Everything seemed to be going wrong on that day, but Yulaikha was very patient and accommodating. First, we had to move our tour timings a couple times and she accommodated that. Then it was raining very heavy and we had shown up without an umbrella, but she modified the tour to minimize being exposed. Coming to the tour itself, I think it was nice seeing the not so popular areas of Yogyakarta and trying out street food items which we would have never known of.Lovely accommodating host!

The food tour with Yula was truly amazing! It was nice to be taken through the busy streets of Jogja and learn more about the city/history/culture and also the traditional food. It was lovely chatting to Yula and truly felt like meeting up with a long-term friend and going out for dinner. As tourists we hesitated to try to the street-food vendors because we didn't want to get sick so it was nice to try it this way and also not risk getting sick because Yula knows exactly where to go. Definitely a must-do activity if you're spending some time in Jogja! It was lovely from beginning to end!

We loved everything from the beginning to the end. Yulaikha told us about the history of Indonesia and walked us around very busy center of Yogyakarta. She treated us with food from warungs, small shops and restuarants. Savoury dishes, sweet treats and few really surprising local delicacies. Tour was not rushed and selection of things to try was really good. Best guide and food tour!

Yulaikha gave us a very thorough and informative tour of the major sights in Yogyakarta. Her excellent English and deep knowledge of local history helped us to better understand and appreciate the sights at Fort Vredeburg, Kraton palace, Taman Sari and the surrounding neighborhood. Get prepared to eat a lot of yummi, (overall) sweet and very well picked dishes with Yula! She is a wonderful person, who was very interested and well prepared at all times. She told us about Indonesian Independence and the history of Malioboro Street. Although the amount of food we could try was limited, she showed us a couple of additional places to eat 🤗 We're both good eaters and love to try new food. Therefore, Yula had the perfect tour designed for us (best combination of vegetarian and meat). The main point in choosing Yulas tour was the focus on food instead of silly tourist games - and we had SOOOO much🤣 At the end of the day we rolled into our grab and then directly into our beds😅 We're absolutely amazed and found a new friend in Yula 🤗Eating our way through Jogja

Andi is very personable and engaging, and took us to some of his favourite haunts, taking us around Yogyakarta for a street food experience one evening. We got to try items we would never have had the courage to order ourselves - go on, it's great! - and to visit eateries as well as road-side stands. We've taken food tours in many of our travel destinations, and without a doubt, Yola has been the best guide we've ever had. Our group spent two days in Yogyakarta with Yula doing an evening street food tour as well as a tour of the city. When we first met Yula she was exceptionally friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Our tours spent with her felt like meeting up with a friend in a new city and getting to see it through her eyes. During the food tour we were able to fully experience the sights and flavours of Yogyakarta in ways we would never have been able to on our own. Our group had 2 vegetarians which made it hard to know which foods were safe to eat and which contained meat. Yula was able to support us with our dietary restrictions and ensure we didn't miss out on anything. Yula's city tour took us to many places in Yogyakarta that weren't on our radar. She was very knowledgeable of the city and sights during the tour. And following the tour we were able to visit Yula's house and try batik. She made us feel so welcome in her home. We exceeded our allotted time for the tour, and Yula met up with us the next day to drop off our Batik. Our experience with Yula was exceptional and I am truly grateful for my time spent with her.
