Darko was very welcoming to our small group of 6. He always only books small groups. He had a lot of historical info for us and toured us throughout the old town of Split. We were brought to venues that specialized in local delicacies as we weaved our way through the city. Most off the beaten track. He even shared recipes of some of the foods we loved! Would definitely recommend this tour! Fantastic evening!

We had an amazing tour with Darko in the Diocletian Palace. Our family has a difficult time on a group tour due to our adult son being in a wheelchair and grandparents with mobility concerns. 2 of our children arrived in Croatia a day before the rest of the family. From the first contact with Datko he went above and beyond. Darko picked us up from the airport and drove us to Krka. Gave us tones of tips and just the right amount of information. During the drive I we felt like we were learning about a new culture and area with a friend. Darko arrived on time to pick us up in his very comfortable and clean car. Making location arrangements was easy and close to the cruise ship. Our first stop was the caves and these are not to be missed. They are incredibly impressive. Darko shared great insights about Split and Croatia on the short drive. We also visited the nearby fortress before heading back to Split for our requested “express” tour of the old town. He left us with a great lunch recommendation. Darko is all that is good about private tours. He takes his job seriously but doesn’t just talk dates and facts, there was context. We appreciated hearing about his story as well. Thank you Darko. Darko gave us a wonderful tour of the caves, which is highly recommended and not accessible by the bus tours. We almost had the caves to ourselves and it was breathtaking and so serene. Also a nice tour of the fortress followed by a taste of Split. Wonderful time. Excellent tour highly recommended guide

De tour hadden we veel meer van verwacht. Voor het grote bedrag wat we hebben betaald waren we niet 3 uur maar 2 uur bezig. Hij was veel sneller klaar. Daarnaast was het niet 10 verschillende hapjes en of drankjes die we hebben gehad, maar minder. En maar 1 drankje en voor de rest wat hapjes, waarvan er ook een stukje chocola bij zat. Wij hadden hele andere verwachtingen bij dit bedrag. Darko kan leuk vertellen dat wel, maar wij hadden het gevoel dat er meer inzat voor zo’n groot bedrag en dat nu niet is geleverd. Oke maar niet fantastisch

Darko met us down by the waterfront and walked us all over old Split to see the highlights. He has an excellent background and is very knowledgable about the ancient and modern history of Split and Croatia. At our request, he talked about the GOT sites and took us to the synagogue. We stopped at a traditional bakery for a cannoli. We enjoyed our tour! Our private tour of Trogir and wine tasting with Darko was the best! His communication was excellent from booking to pickup. He was full of information about Trogir and Croatia in general. He made sure we stopped for a coffee in the town square, and he had us sample a local treat. He took us to a winery where we sampled wines and traditional Croatian food, which was amazing. Darko was so accommodating; spending time with us, guiding us, and making sure we were comfortable, while also allowing us time on our own. Darko shared so much about Croatian history, culture, and daily life. We not only learned a lot from him; we also had a chance to experience a bit of Croatia from someone who loves Croatia!!! This tour was a great way to become familiar with the city! Lots of delicious food. So much so that we were full by the end of the tour. Our guide, Darko, was excellent. This was an amazing tour. We have made it a point to try local food everywhere we travel, and there weren't many tour options in Split. Darko was informative, he had vast knowledge of the history, and obviously loves Split. He kept us interested, and engaged the entire time. Darko couldn’t have had a tougher group nor have done a better job! We had just come in from a long drive. Some of our group were really interested in history - others were not at all.
