My partner Josh and I had a great afternoon being introduced to the world of Greek wine. Coming from Melbourne, the quality of our tastings was completely different from the old days of acidic retsina. Vasiliki and Orestes gave us samples of old and new vines, and we especially enjoyed Naoussa Boutsri, Santorini with its amazing planting system and a great glass of sparkling rose . Vasiliki provided so much information about Athens, the various university areas and explanations of the architecture. The wine tasting paired with heavy finger food also expanded our knowledge of Greek cuisine. She was lively and passionate about her country and the wine areas. Vasiliki was simply amazing & expert knowledgeable of Athens hidden neighborhoods. With wine next to us, she was able to describe the history of Athens, history of the neighborhood where only locals hangout as well as give us a virtual tour of Ancient Greece wineries and hidden secrets. Vasiliki brought us to a vivid wine bar where we talked about wine and culture while trying a couple of whites and a rosé. The wines were carefully selected according to our preferences. The wines were from different regions, made from different grapes, and were very different in style. Vasiliki was very ressourceful and knew about the locations where the wines came from and also knew a lot about the grapes and how they were farmed. The wines were accompanied by local cold cuts and cheeses, and discussions about Greece and different parts of Athens. We were then also recommended several wines which be brought home and I am looking forward to drink them at home. We had a lovely afternoon and can't recommend this experience enough.Wine is more than a drink!

It was great to meet Vasiliki, and to get to know Athens a little through her eyes. It was a great introduction to Athens and good to do this not long after our arrival. We sat and talked over a couple of wine tastings in a bar which was a nice way to get to know someone and to have a detailed conversation. Vasiliki then generously walked us through a couple of neighbourhoods. The wine tasting was not in the end the major focus of the tour and we did visit just the one bar, but the broad range of information we received on Athens (and wider) was greatly appreciated. We are looking forward to where/when our paths again cross with Vasiliki. Great intro to Athens

We did this tour with our 4 and 5 year old as well as their grandparents. Vasaliki was great at engaging everyone where they were at. The treasure hunt for the kiddos was a real motivator, and Vasalikis knowledge of the city allowed us to see gems we would never have had time or patience for if we were touring alone. We spent a wonderful first afternoon in Athens with Vasiliki. She planned a perfect tour, with many interesting stops throughout the neighborhoods of the city to learn about history, culture, art and more. Our kids liked her immediately and even though they were tired, they were completely engaged in all that she shared with us. Wir hatten bei Vasiliki eine Führung zu Zweit zum Start in Athen. Es war eine richtig tolle Führung. Wir haben ohne Zeitdruck viele spannende Orte in Athen entdeckt, ein paar Wörter griechisch gelernt und eine super leckere Süßspeise kennengelernt. Die Führung war perfekt auf mich und meinen Sohn (10) ausgelegt. Vasiliki ist sehr freundlich und sympathisch. Unser Flug hatte Verspätung und Vasiliki hat die Tour statt am vereinbarten Treffpunkt direkt vom Hotel aus gestartet. Das war sehr hilfreich für uns. 100% Empfehlung!Es war toll!

Ich finde, das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt bei dieser Geschichte generell nicht auch die Empfehlungen und das, was verköstigt wurde, steht überhaupt nicht im Verhältnis zu geben, was vorher angepriesen wird! Nicht meine Welt!

Vasiliki has great energy and it is evident her venders appreciate her. She gave us a wide variety of tastes - olives, honey, nuts, meat & cheese, slouvaki and a deliciously sweet doughnut/ice cream dessert. We had our 9 year old with us and Vasiliki engaged with her tremendously. She was very informational about the city of Athens and gave suggestions for areas to wander for our remaining days. We highly recommend Vasiliki, she was hands down our favorite food tour guide we have ever had (we’ve done several food tours lately in Italy & Portugal). Lovely!

Vasiliki was excellent. She met us on time at an easy to find spot and immediately engaged our two children ( aged 10 and 14). The tour took us through lots of areas of Athens that we wouldn’t have seen otherwise. It was paced just right and she was very knowledgeable about the history of the city ( modern and ancient). My family and friends were in Greece for the first time and wanted to experience all that Athens has to offer, starting with food!!!   We searched and found a fabulous food tour on Withlocals.com.  There we had the most AMAZING guide, Vicky, short for Vasikily.  As a native Athenian, Vicky has a strong command of English which was important to us coming from the US.  She was also well versed in Greek history (both real and Greek mythology🥰) and was able to share the history and relevance of the foods we experienced.  We even got some language lessons!  She was Knowledgable, friendly and fun and we would definitely seek her out the next time we are in Athens.Awesome tour!
