Adriana talked about the history of fashion in Milan and then took us to see various boutiques. When I booked with her she wanted to know what we wanted out of the tour. My girlfriend was interested in local designers not found anywhere else but Milan. So Adriana asked information of what she may like and asked for Instagram to better understand my girlfriend and her style. So the tour had a purpose and Adriana was prepared. Wow! Not only does she give you a tour but if you want to buy something she helps with buying clothes in your budget and she’s also a personal stylist. She understands the individual and their style and also helps them put things together that maybe they had no idea can be done. Truly amazing clothes that she help my girlfriend pick out. A truly wonderful experience. If you open up and let her understand you she will surprise you and help transform you with just a few pieces of clothing. One key thing I left out was. The day before we took the tour, we walked by some boutiques but we felt a little intimidated wether by price or not knowing what we truly wanted and so we didn’t go inside any stores. Shopping with Adriana took that stress away. Made us feel confident and comfortable to try some of the clothes on no matter the store. You can tell that fashion is Sze's passion. He was able to bring together history, art, and architecture together to contextualize the journey of how Milan became so pivotal to fashion. With Sze's knowledge, you learn how to recognize quality beyond just brands. It's also worth noting how pleasant and flexible and pleasant Sze is. Our group had 3 women - ages 65, 49 and 18. The youngest wanted to learn about fashion in Milan and Sara delivered! We walked around the high end fashion area and went into a few stores that we never would have visited. Sara gave us all sorts of history of the various brands, including stories when she worked as a model. She even pointed out places to shop. She was so friendly and knowledgeable. I had asked for an experience about the history of fashion in Milan and its development rather than a shopping experience. Sara guided me through the fashion district pointing out new and interesting facts. We also did some shopping which was a lot of fun. I had already burn in Milan for a few days and seen the highlights so what she showed me were new and hidden jewels. She is very knowledgeable and an absolutely delightful individual. Walking around Milan with Sara was a great way to experience the city. Sara has a background in fashion and knows so much about the history and the places in and around the Golden Triangle, and still has a wonderful sense of enjoyment and appreciation as she leads you around. Plus she has also been a personal shopper so she has a great sense of style. (I bought a new coat!) As a bonus, she'll not only take you to the flagship stores, she also knows where to get the deals. Sara was an amazing tour guide. There were two of us that got to experience her many talents. She taught us about the history of fashion, design inspiration, many local and famous designers and we even got to tour a small shoe company and watch how shoes were made. Everywhere we walked in the fashion community, people knew Sara. She was well known and respected. Sara went out of her way to enrich our lives with her love of fashion and its history. We saw a fashion museum, the homes of designers, the place where fashion week is held and we also enjoyed stories and pictures of Sara when she was a model in her younger years. She worked an extra hour beyond her schedule because she wanted to; out of love for her craft. Sara was an incredible tour guide. I felt as though I made a new friend. Spending time with Sara was truly a highlight of my visit to Milan! As a solo traveler Sara was friendly, warm, and so very helpful. Absolutely adored the tour! While he was very knowledgeable about the fashion and the history surrounding Milan he also presented the information in a way that was more conversational. I find most tours feel as if guides are just rattling off facts. This was not the case with him. Highly recommend him as a guide! Undoubtably the best tour we had all week in Europe! This tour is highly recommended for a first time visitor to Milan to understand how this city became the famous international fashion capital. It seems walking around town with a good friend well versed with the fashion industry and sharing entertaining stories. Very informative and enjoyable, far exceeded expectations. At his suggestions, we visited some high end fashion shops to look at their displays to “see the difference”. Before the tour, Sze was very kind to reach out to me and provided recommendations for drinks & meals when asked. After the tour, we also obtained a listing of outlet shops. This is a wonderful tour! Sara is not only has a wealth of information about the city and fashion, but she also is friendly and fun. Sara took us to places and boutiques that we would normally not venture and this made this tour unique for us. She had a personal connection to all the places we visited and saw. Sara is personable and very knowlegable. She switched effortlessly fron Portuguese to English to ensure we understood. We saw many shops only an insider would know. Our highlight was the gem of a fabric shop with designer fabric remanents. My wife selected 6 different fabrics, without Dara we would not have heard of the shop much less find it. Sara helped find a nice restsurant as well as pointing out another shop that sold buttons. My wife loved the shop and founds several buttons she been looking for. She is the best. Always smiling.
