Mijn mama en ik deden onlangs een stadswandeling met Christophe en zijne maat Roel en we waren onder de indruk van de gidsen! Hun aangename en vriendelijke manier van vertellen maakte de wandeling echt bijzonder. Ze deelden talloze interessante verhalen en leuke weetjes over de stad, vaak met grappige kwinkslagen die ons aan het lachen maakten. Bovendien was een groot deel van de wandeling in het Brussels, wat voor een authentieke en unieke ervaring zorgde. Eric’s chocolate tasting was the first item on the agenda in our first day in Brussels, and it was absolutely perfect. He has incredible knowledge that encompasses both the history of Brussels and the history of the fantastic chocolates we were eating. We were a group of 10 Wales football fans who were visiting Brussels to watch Wales play Belgium and we were keen to learn more about the city. At very short notice Christophe took us on a very interesting walking tour around the main sights - and lots of “off the beaten track” sights and viewpoints that we would never have found without his local knowledge. His English was excellent and we learnt so much about the history and architecture of this beautiful place. Christophe was flexible and accommodated all our requests in a friendly way. We had a lovely walk around Brussels with Christophe. He clearly knows a lot about the city and is proud to live there. He showed us the main tourist sites plus a few places we would probably not have found ourselves. Shanthuru is an excellent guide! I took the tour 5 months pregnant and he was considerate of me when I needed to stop and buy water and even asked if he was walking too fast which was not necessary but very much appreciated! He is very knowledgeable of all things Brussels and gave us great recommendations for sweet and savory snacks, food and dinner. My partner and I recently had the pleasure of taking a walking tour of Brussels with a local guide named Eric, and it was truly a highlight of our trip. Our day in Flanders with Eric was a wonderful way to end our Belgium holiday. Eric made certain that we were able to visit the sites that were most meaningful to us including a stop at the American Cemetery and a drive through the countryside ridges where my great uncle John fought and was wounded. Thankfully my uncle came home, but it was so important to us to pay tribute to all of the young men that did not. Eric's expertise of the events and places that defined WWI gave us a keen appreciation for the sacrifices and bravery of the soldiers that lived it. We enjoyed lunch in a local restaurant where Eric went out of his way to help us order the best local foods including fries, Belgium stew, and of course Belgium beer! We even swapped stories about our favorite leek soup recipes. The tour far exceeded our expectations. Thank you Eric for providing us with memories of our time in Flanders that we will long remember. The most excellent day-Thank you!!

We were able to take our time tasting chocolate, browsing and purchasing the chocolate, and he always took time to answer questions.
