What a great time with Maja who accommodated our time restraints and especially our need for pizza! We had all visited Florence in the past and looked at all the beautiful sights, but we lacked understanding of the city, its history and its people. And most of all, the hidden things that are sometimes in plain sight, like the secure passageway between Palazzo Vecchio and Palazzo Pitti. He planned a great tasting tour for us - quite many different experiences and the Gelato in the end was incredible. Maja made our day! Her warm welcome and beautiful smile kicked off our experience pretty well. We’ve visited Palazzo Vecchio which we knew already… or that’s what we thought :) Maja made us see it from the Medicis’ perspective, as if it was a travel in time! What a journey!!! My husband and I had the best time on this tour! Ana was incredibly knowledgeable about the city and showed us some spots we definitely would not have found on our own. While it was very hot and the timing of our tour was not ideal, as we were visiting in August and a lot of places were closed for the summer vacation, Ana filled the time seamlessly and gave us plenty of different options, keeping us in the shade whenever possible and getting us cold and refreshing drinks to fend off the heat. We learned a ton about the city, ate some of the most delicious and authentic food either of us had ever tasted, drank delicious wines, and finished off the tour with refreshing gelato. Ultimately, we don’t feel as though we missed out on anything due to closures and the heat was well worth it for the experience Ana delivered! Highly recommend! Ana was the best!

Eduardo was a fantastic tour guide. He was patient with our large group ranging from age 3 to age 82. We spent 5 hours with him and saw so much of Florence. He also was wonderful with recommending other things to do and see during our stay. We would highly recommend Eduardo; he even mentioned he could do trips to Siena and other cities. Ana is lovely and I thoroughly enjoyed meeting her. She was warm, friendly and helpful, she even offered to help if we had any queries during the rest of our stay. It was an expensive activity for what you get. The beignets, meats, cheese, bread, wines, biscuits and gelato were delicious, however the pizza was terrible. It was lovely to chat with someone who has made Florence her home. Ana also accommodated our quirks (one vegetarian, one with a nut allergy, one that doesn’t drink).
