My family and I really enjoyed both our tours with Thien. On day 1, we had a custom tour, with District 1 highlights and then a tour in a very local neighborhood. Highlight of day 1 was the little coffee shop that has been around for 87 years! On day 2 we went to the tunnels and that's where Thien really shines. She knows and apparently is best friends with just about everyone and can get the best spots away from all the other tourists. Listening to her family stories is a delight as they experienced war from both perspectives (her mom's side worked for the Americans and her dad was Vietcong). Can't get any more personal than that! Transport to the tunnels can take a couple of hours and we had a very comfortable car, extremely safe driver and very very cold A/C which is paramount, given the heat and humidity in Saigon. We had such a great morning exploring Ho Chi Minh City with Huyen! She was so friendly, full of interesting facts, and made the whole experience fun and easy. We had a fab walking tour with Hieu! He is very knowledgable and super lovely to chat with as we wondered the streets and markets in District 3. Visiting the old communist flats where locals live was charming. We wondered thru a local wet market and tried 3 different types of coffees: cafe muoi, cafe chanh & cafe sua da! Also checked out a hidden weapons bunker! All in a lovely few hours spent off the typical tourist path. Highly recommend taking a tour with Hieu! Just let him know what you're interested in and he'll customise to suit.Great Walking Tour!

Spring took us on an amazing food tour of areas in Saigon/HCMC that we never would have found ourselves. The food was amazing, and plentiful, allowed us to try things we wouldn’t otherwise, and explore an area of the city that usually only the locals see. Spring is also the best kind of tour guide- funny ( yes, even your Dad jokes Spring!), interesting, and catered the tour to our family with 2 older teens perfectly. Even down to helping us book our Grab motor bike rides back to the hotel. Thank you Spring- you are the best! The best tour we’ve done!

Spent a lovely 3 hours with Huyen, she was a delight. It was just about the right length of time in the heat. Stopped for delicious juice half way round. Learnt plenty of history, especially outside the Reunification Palace. Saw some beautiful little streets, the book market is a must see where every store has its own tree growing in it! Ended up at the War Museum which is an interesting, if sobering, place. Well worth the time.Perfect way to see District 1

We had a really great day touring the Mekong delta and seeing how the locals live and what their lives entail. Thein was very happy to share her own personal stories and experiences growing up in Saigon. We especially liked visiting the lovely ladies where we made rice paper and chatted by the river. We went on a walking food tour of Ho Chi Minh City with Spring. Can't say enough good things. She is knowledgeable, friendly, cheerful. We felt a real connection. It was clearly more than just a job for her. Two of us needed vegetarian food, and she knew just where to go--places we'd never have found on our own. We miss her. Hieu took us on a historical-architectural walking tour. He's extremely knowledgeable, outgoing, flexible. We passed an optician's store that was inhabited by a number of cats, so our tour stopped to visit the cats. Hieu helped us understand some of the painful history of the North-South-American war. Both led us through some of the narrow alleys of Ho Chi Minh City, bringing us to a part of the city we'd never otherwise see--a whole world whose existence we'd never expect.Excellent Guided Experience

Thien was awesome! We had so much fun on our day tour! So much to see and with little overcrowding. We have for the most part a private experices...minus the big tourist group at the coconut and fruit snack stop...but sometimes it can't be helped. Regardless, we very much enjoyed our tour. Thien was very knowledgeable, in with the locals, and spoke very good English. Huyen was wonderful. We can’t thank her enough for showing us around. We were a group of three . We had grandma , mum and daughter. The little girl in our group was only 4 years old so quickly ran out of walking legs. 😀 Huyen adjusted our program so we could catch a bus to the Temple instead of walking there . Sie ist eine starke Persönlichkeit und hat eine klare Meinung zu vielen Dingen! Das schätzen wir sehr! Im Mac Delta haben wir so viele Eindrücke gesammelt, dass es sehr schwer ist, was am besten war! Waren es die beiden alten Damen, die uns so leckere Reis Pfannkuchen serviert haben? Waren es die total netten Kinder, die wir 20 m auf dem TukTuk mitgenommen haben? We thoroughly enjoyed our tour to the Mekong Delta with Thien. Thien is extremely knowledgeable and made our visit very personalised and kept our private tour away from large tourist groups. Thien knows a lot about Vietnam and the Mekong Delta. She knows all the people there and has very good relationship. She also knows what to do if there are other tourists - so you won’t see many of them. The most impressive stop for us was with with the rice paper ladies. Though it was hot, the only heat came from the Saigon Family Tour. With a perfect mix of fun and gratification, the Saigon Tour was the apple of my eye. Spring gave us a unique immersion in Vietnamese life on this tour. Our delicious and authentic street food experience was invaluable for later reference about flavours, ingredients and the regions of origin of the dishes. We were taken through residential alleyways we would not have known to explore, shown how to say words in Vietnamese and told so much about Vietnamese culture and history.
