We had a great last day of our stay at HCMC with Hieu. Even if we have already seen and visited many places in the city before, Hieu gave us a completely new and additional view with exciting places and new experiences. If you compare it to other offers in Vietnam, of course it is expensive - but worth it (family discounts would make sense, but this is a platform topic). "Great memories are priceless". My family and I really enjoyed both our tours with Thien. On day 1, we had a custom tour, with District 1 highlights and then a tour in a very local neighborhood. Highlight of day 1 was the little coffee shop that has been around for 87 years! On day 2 we went to the tunnels and that's where Thien really shines. She knows and apparently is best friends with just about everyone and can get the best spots away from all the other tourists. Listening to her family stories is a delight as they experienced war from both perspectives (her mom's side worked for the Americans and her dad was Vietcong). Can't get any more personal than that! Transport to the tunnels can take a couple of hours and we had a very comfortable car, extremely safe driver and very very cold A/C which is paramount, given the heat and humidity in Saigon. We had a fantastic experience on the food trip in Ho Chi Minh City with our guide Hoàn. The communication via WhatsApp beforehand was superb, and we were able to share our preferences and wishes. Hoàn was very friendly and guided us through the city mostly via Taxi, sharing interesting facts about Vietnamese culture and history. We tried 6 out of 10 delicious dishes, but unfortunately, the 3-hour time frame was quite short, and we would have loved to try more. We had the best Banh Mi ever! Additionally, drinks were not included in the price, which wasn't entirely clear to us. Despite this, the experience was very enjoyable, and I would recommend the trip, as you learn a lot about the culture and life in Ho Chi Minh City. For two people, the price is a bit steep, but the quality of the guidance and the insights into local culture make it worthwhile. A cool Experience

We were lucky enough to book the Mekong Delta day trip with Thien and had the most amazing experience imaginable. Every aspect of the day exceeded our expectations. The itinerary is so thoughtfully designed, offering intimate and authentic encounters with local people. Our driver was excellent, and my wife, our 7-year-old son, and I felt completely safe and cared for throughout. Highlights included visiting a traditional river clay brick workshop — a sadly fading craft but fascinating insight into working life on the Mekong — coconut candy and rice wine tasting, live music, boat rides big and small, and watching the most wonderful women making rice paper rolls and weaving mats. Each stop provided a beautiful glimpse into village life. What truly set the day apart, though, was Thien herself. Her rapport with the local people is extraordinary, and it’s clear how highly they regard her. That warmth extends to her guests, and nothing feels gimmicky, touristy, or mass-produced, even when visiting more popular spots. Instead, every moment feels genuine because of the connections she’s built. Thien is bright, insightful, witty, and simply a joy to spend time with. We’ve booked “With Locals” tours in several countries across Europe and Asia, and this day with Thien was by far the best experience we’ve ever had. We are a family of four with two children of 13 and 8 y.o. Huyen run the tour in a way that was interesting for small and big. We had break for fun, we tasted local sweets, we sent postcards to grandparents. At the same time, the tour was very informative and Huyen showed photos and documents from the past to illustrate her narrative. I did two absolutely rewarding trips with Huyen. The first tour was of a part of the city, Quan 6, that a lot of tourists would not typically visit while the Mekong Delta day trip offered an insight into the local way of life. Our food tour with Spring was one of the best we have done. When travelling we like to do a tasting tour in the city we are visiting and we can honestly say that this tour was amazing. We not only tasted so much tasty local food, we wandered down back alleys that as a tourist we would never see. We had fruit from a little local store as well as avocado icecream from one of the biggest street food markets. We wandered through quarters 1, 3 and 10. Thanks Spring for a wonderful adventure. We spent our last morning in Ho Chi Minh City on a walking tour with Thien and I am so glad we did. We have been on many tours over two weeks in Vietnam but no other guide had Thien’s depth of knowledge on Vietnam’s history nor her sense of humour and fun. She was a delight to talk to and able to answer our many questions. She was also very flexible: swapping out the War Remnants museum at the last minute when we expressed concern that it might be too much for kids, and moving our tour time to early in the morning to avoid the heat. Many thanks to Huyen for this well organized trip. Our transport van was high class and along the way we gathered some deep insights about vietnamese culture and the Mekong delta. As we arrived a private boat brought us deeper into the swamp where we really got that jungle cruise feeling. By walking, Huyen provided more information about the sourrounding nature and we got to ride a tuktuk with the local farmers and even a canu. At the final stage we could enjoy some of the fish and specialities of the local cuisne aside the river. Finally, on our way back we visited the Pagode and were provided with interesting information about buddhism and its development in vietnam. It was really breathtaking and we could even vitness a monks ceremony. We highly recommend this! Many thanks to Huyen for this very informative and funny trip. She has a great personality and makes sure that all needs are met. And a good pohotgrapher too.Great day trip to the swamp and temple

We were very fortunate to be guided by Spring through the streets and eats of Saigon today. We ventured through ‘shortcut’ alleyways we never would have tried, ate with locals and by the end of the tour we were able to cross those hectic roads like locals. This was a great way to see HCMC and work out where we wanted to spend more time. Huyen was really proactive before the tour, getting in touch to see how we might want to personalise the tour and give us some useful tips for our stay. We opted for the 5 hour tour, which we thought might be hard for our kids but they loved it and really enjoyed meeting with Huyen. Huyen was very flexible during the tour, and we changed things as and when we decided where we wanted to spend a little more time. Spring was lots of fun, she was so helpful explaining everything. We enjoyed our walk around all the local back alleys meeting locals along the way. The food was so varied and interesting. My husband enjoyed the stuffed snails but the highlight for me was the avocado ice cream. I would highly recommend Spring. Fun, interesting time!

We have an amazing tour with Hieu. We would definitely recommend this. We had five different places that we visited and had loads different foods that we otherwise never would have tried. Elise was very friendly and showed us all her favorite streetfood places to be. Some of them have been around for more than 40 years. Good communication before the tour started and she gave us some great tips for Hoi An as well.
