Salvatore was very friendly and thoughtful. I was happy to see more of Milan than I could have on my own. However, it was very expensive to take solo — I was alone in Milan. Half of the tour seemed to be riding the subways, which cost 2 euros. I had to use my credit card to pay for this, which I had to take out and put back several times, at every entrance and exit. It was very inconvenient. Would have been nice for the company to pay for this, as I spent over 250 USD on the tour. Also, could not enter the Duomo, so just saw the outside. It just seemed the concept is flawed or could improve, particularly for solo traveler. Very expensive for solo tour

We had the good fortune of doing a highlights tour of Milan with Francesca. She was a pleasure to work with before the tour. Promptly answered questions and was great about setting good expectations beforehand. She met us in the lobby of our hotel which was close to The Duomo. It made for a great start to our time together. We appreciated her knowledge and the fact that she took her time explaining info esp when there were questions or we wanted something clarified. She also shared some tidbits with us which prompted us to go back to certain stores and areas to do some more shopping and dining. Areas that we wouldn’t have ventured to on or own. All in all our 3 hours went quickly and we thought it was definitely money well spent! Excellent tour of Milan!

Caterina was absolutely amazing!! She was very accommodating for my mom and me when we arrived in Milan after an 8 hour red eye flight and even adjusted the tour after we were able to secure last minute tickets to the last supper! Our tour with Francesca was one of the best ever. Francesca understood our area of interest and presented the complex and interesting history of Milan and Italy so well….from its fascinating political evolution …. to its ever changing social dynamics…. and its rich cultural. She even brought us by an art supply store on the way to the art academy where my artist husband purchased tubes of beautiful oil colors from the top producer in the world. A real treat. My husband and I learned so much in just a few fun hours! We appreciated Caterina's humor, stories, and ability to find shade on a very hot day. She knows the Duomo well. Most of all, our guide, Serena, was outstanding and I would give her the max rating, but the language about the tour is completely misleading, so I'm reducing it to reflect that fact. The tour is titled "Your Way," and we booked this tour because we wanted to visit the Duomo and the Castelo di Sforza. We read that tickets were not included and were prepared to purchase our own, including those for our guide. But Serena told us she is not allowed to guide in either venue. Huh? We got the guide to visit and learn about these places. We have been using Withlocals for years and have always enjoyed the high-quality and engaging guides associated with you. Please don't turn into Viator. We did enjoy our walk around the city. We learned much from Serena and it's a shame we could not have her inside those two venues. Armando really knew his stuff and clearly passed along his knowledge to our group of 4 retirees. His tour was more than just an “canned” presentation. We learned as much about local culture and customs as we did about the historical sites we visited. Humor doesn’t always translate in a foreign language but he certainly pulled it off, partly because of his excellent English. Francesca is knowledgeable and a lot of fun. We were only in town for a day, so were looking to hit the highlights, and our tour was perfect for that. But on a longer visit, it would also have been a great tour to orient yourself before setting out to explore on your own. My grandson (11) and I had a rainy day tour with Salvatore and it was a little difficult to hear with our rainhoods over our ears. Nevertheless, he provided interesting facts about Il Duomo, the Galleria, and the Castello Sforcesco. The highlight was Navigli, an area we did not know and thoroughly enjoyed. Salvatore was accommodating, accompanying us to Decathlon to buy soccer balls for my grandson and skipping part of his planned tour that would not have interested him. Interesting Tour

Alessandro’s tour was interesting and full of surprises, such as the nondescript church that hid the most amazing interior frescos. We learned a lot about Milan and Italy’s history, as well as seeing areas off the beaten track. Definitely recommend this tour! There were just 2 of us so that’s more expensive, but in the end it was worth it. Alessandro was a lovely person and a comfortable fit for us. Interesting tour
