We booked the 7pm 10 Tastings of Nice in October for two. Karin was pleasant but the tour fell greatly short of expectations. Karin was a last minute transfer from another guide, who said she couldn’t do the tour because she wouldn’t give us the experience of 10 tastings due to the time and season. Without my consent she transferred it to Karin who agreed to the tour. Karin was nice but she chose one restaurant where she ordered very light appetizers and spent the entire time disclosing personal issues. We then did a walking portion, which on its surface, was good but the stories were disjointed and plainly confusing. We had substantially less than 10 tastings and left feeling emotionally drained, uncomfortable and exhausted from the experience. I contacted the company and received a refund but thereafter Karin somehow found my WhatsApp account (didn’t give it to her) and sent me paragraph by paragraph text messages and ended it with saying that I was a “back stabber.” The whole thing was so frankly unhinged and we are leaving Nice early now. Disorganized and not a good value

We had a nice time with Karin as she is local and was able to walk us to several areas in Nice and walk to the Castle was excellent. She recommended the local restaurants and other areas locals frequent. She also took a lot of photos and gave us extra time and dropped us at the hotel via the tram. Had a nice time with Karin

Marie was very nice and welcoming, very knowledgeable . BUT, we were expecting a more upscale tasting experience, especially for the price of the tour! Not at all what we imagined it would be. Started out with a bag of Socca chips and pieces of sausison, ended with a pigeon invested sidewalk cafe’, a tasting in local wine shop. The owner was very nice but we didn’t particularly like the two wines he chose. All in all, total waste of money Not worth the money!

As a self proclaimed foodie I had a fantastic experience on this tour. Marie was very professional and courteous. She was easy going and made great conversation. She gave us a history lesson as well as a showcase of local food spots and dishes that are special to Nice. Eating food specific to the region I’m traveling in is something I enjoy and this tour really fulfilled that need. Through I was only in Nice for a short period of time this tour made me feel that I was getting the most out of it. Merci Marie ! Great tour for a foodie

We have had great experiences in other cities with these type of local tours. This one lacked that personalization - the feeling of being with a true insider local. I felt like most of the information would have been easy to just read about or learn from an automated audio tour (at 1/10th the price you can download from other apps). She was very nice, but also seemed a little uneasy and unsure of herself - made it a little awkward at times. This is probably a value proposition - what you get for what you pay for - 3 hours for $180 usd for what we got….definitely not value and wouldn’t think twice about skipping this next time.

Our tour was scheduled for 11:30. We’re staying in Saint-Paul-de-Vence, so checked bus schedules and selected a route that would put us at our meeting place, Place Garibaldi, by 10:50, well in advance of our tour start time. I shared that information with Karin via this app and got a positive response. Our first bus had a 20 minute delay when 18 Chinese tourists attempted to board the bus, and great confusion ensued. I sent an update to Karin advising of the delay and stating our arrival now looked to be 11:31. She acknowledged and told us she had a 2 pm booking, so would need to limit our tour to the original end time and I replied we understood. We missed our next connection by a minute and had to wait another 20 for the next bus. I again reached out to Karin via this app with an update, yet received no response. When we reached the airport, our choices were tram (30 minutes travel time) or Uber (40 minutes travel time). We chose tram. I sent Karin a final update setting our newest arrival time at 11:55, 25 minutes late for our tour, and reiterated that we understood our time with her would be limited. No response. We arrived at the meeting place at 11:55 only to receive a message from Karin time-stamped 11:37 stating she had left after waiting nearly an hour for us and saying the last message she received from me said we would arrive at 11:31. I messaged her saying we made every effort and couldn’t understand why she would leave 7 minutes after our tour was to have taken place. Her response was that we should have taken an Uber and left earlier to ensure we would arrive on time. Given we left SPdV at 9:30, I believe we planned as well as we could. I also told her the time differential between the tram and Uber and finally stated she may have mistaken the start time to be 11:00, not 11:30. No response received. Bus Delays and No Guide

The four of us loved our tour of vieux Nissa with Marie. She has a combination of specific, current with historical information to share. We loved the hidden squares and stories of Nice. Wir hatten einen tollen Vormittag mit Karin in Nizza. Sie kennt sich wirklich sehr gut aus und hat uns durch die gesamte Altstadt geführt und viele besondere Orte, Geschäfte und Geheimtipps gezeigt. Ihre "Empfehlungs-Liste" war auch sehr hilfreich für uns für die Tage danach und sie war auch im Anschluss noch für Tipps oder Fragen erreichbar. Ganz Toll! We are a family of four and booked this tour for our day trip in Nice. Marie was an excellent host of this beautiful city, very friendly, and spoke great English (and was even willing to help us practise a bit of our French, which we really appreciated!). We loved how knowledgeable she was about the wide variety of sites and history of the city, and she gave great recommendations for restaurants and things to do after our tour ended.
