We had a lovely day with Maria, showing us around Osaka. And besides her great guiding and storytelling about the sights, I will highlight three things: First of all, she was very thoughtful, and she was engaging actively with our 3 kids throughout the tour. This made it a great experience for us all. Second of all, she was very agile and was happy to adjust the plan, depending on the change of mood - especially with the kids, she easily adjusted our plan, as our kids needed some free time to play at a local playground after we saw a beautiful shrine, and at Osaka Castle she guided us to a small shop where our boys could throw ninja stars, which was a big hit. Thats is why, lastly, I will highlight that Maria is a extremely family friendly guide. Only good things to say about Maria! She gave us a memorable day in Osaka! Very family friendly guide

Jessica meet us on time at the agreed meeting place, adjacent to the Tennoji Temple. Jessica set a a quick pace to ensure we visited the key highlights of Osaka. Tennoji Temple, old world street of Shinsekai, Osaka Castle and the famous bridge of Dontonburi. Jessica ensured we kept to schedule but we never felt rushed. The highlight for us was Osaka castle, simply stunning, despite the crowds. We walked around 15000 steps and use the metro/train to get between locations. Whether you are in Osaka for just a day like us for for several days, I highly recommend this walking tour with Max as a great way to get introduced to the city! Max completely catered our itinerary so that my family (including a teenager) could see the main highlights of the city by foot. He kept my son engaged and even helped us navigate a fun gaming arcade, past all the claw machines on the first few floors and introduced us to some fun and popular Japanese games like the drumming game which my son liked so much he sought it out at another arcade in Tokyo the next day. Max shared some history and cultural insight and took fabulous pictures at all the right spots along the way. He also provided some food and restaurant recommendations which were a big hit. Max has a very cool and laid back personality, was raised in England so his English is perfect and was a pleasure to spend three hours with. Highly recommend!Great way to get to know the city!

We were a group of two families travelling together for the first time to Osaka. I cannot recommend Naoki enough! It was a fabulous introduction to the culture and food of Japan. Naoki has excellent English and was extremely knowledgeable but also made the tour fun for the teenagers. Don’t hesitate to hook this. Excellent experience. The best tour with Naoki!

Both my wife and me had an incredible tour with our brilliant host Naoki, who had a fantastic sense of humour as well. We'd asked for an off the beaten path of Osaka and oh did Naoki deliver!! We saw areas and local spots that we'd not have found in a million years, getting to see the temple that arranges the yearly fireworks festival and hearing awesome facts that we'd never have known, truly made us feel special. We can't recommend Naoki enough and hope to get to meet again!! Have it your way and an amazing time too!

Naoki is an amazing tour guide for Osaka. It started even before the trip where we wanted to know more about the family. Naoki has grown up in Osaka and showed us an amazing time. Not only did he explain the history of each stop, but also talked about some his past experiences. Each restaurant we stopped at was amazing. From Takoyaki to Gyoza and more, each one was delicious. What my family found most impressive was his attentiveness. It happened to be hot and Naoki catered the tour to make sure we didn't get too hot. Even though it was a a tasting tour, my family really loved how he shared Shinto and Buddhism beliefs in Japan. I highly recommend Naoki for an amazing experience in Osaka. Walking the city of Osaka with Hiromi was one of the highlights of our trip. She took us to many eateries we would not have found on our own and we tasted so many of Osakas famous dishes. However, my favorite part of the tour was getting a chance to spend relaxed time chatting with a local and comparing notes about our respective cultures. Hiromi was a great guide and a great hang! We had a great time out with Ricky. He was able to explain some of the mysteries of what we had seen on our own in Japan. I would say that this kind of tour’s success is really based on the person you choose to lead this tour as restaurant selection is really based on the personal opinion of your guide. Jessica was friendly but not originally from Japan. She took us to many local restaurants but the food was just ok. Where she came in handy was for general communication with the restaurant staff. We did eat lots of food that night so go on an empty stomach but I wouldn’t say it was the best food. We did get to try most of what was on our list but we had some line ups so be prepared for that as well. Lots of walking and subways to various areas. Not sure it is a must!Was just ok

Our group of five really enjoyed our time with Hiromi. From start to finish she took great care of us. We learned a lot about the history of each food item that we tried and honestly, the places we visited were all local places that we would never have found if left on our own. We were totally disappointed with the quality and food offered on 10 tastings of Osaka. We were hoping to gain an insight into Osaka cuisine instead we went to two tourist traps heaving with foreigners. The cost of the tour was expensive and the quality of the offerings did not match our expectations having read the website description. Maria was so friendly and knowledgeable when it came to the food and cuisine culture of Osaka. She pointed out differences to other cities we visited and called out things we may be interested in trying. We walked around parts of the city that I don't think we'd have explored on our own so having. A guide to help up navigate (the city and the language) was very nice! We would have liked a bit more detailed history of Osaka as I called that out ahead of the tour and also asked on the tour but just got a high level description of Japan history that we were already familiar with. Maria did have a lot of fun and interesting facts about the markets and stalls we explored along the way! This was the highest price tour we did on our trip as we figured a private guide would be the best way to really eat like a local and from that perspective it was worth it.Ate so many tasty things!
