Our walk was planned around seeing a different view of the city, not just the tourist attractions . We really enjoyed exploration of old residential areas with exceptional city views and their history. Food and restaurants off the usual promenade and harbour. With typical food choices which we enjoyed after our walk. Onwards to the City park and the woods. Our guide Debora was informative and a pleasure to share time with. We spent three hours with Maya, guiding us through the most important places and hidden gems of Split. She provided us with historical and artistic details, adding very interesting information on the whole history of the city, it’s inhabitants, up to the recent years and future perspectives. She helped us also with the planning the coming days of our stay in Split. Maya is not only a very professional and experienced guide, but also a very pleasant person who makes the all experience very positive. My husband and I were lucky to have had a very informative history tour with Josko on our first full day in Split. We found him to be an engaging, funny and very personable guide and enjoyed learning many things about the old town, Diocletian Palace and Croatia in general. He recommended a lovely place for lunch, a venue in the Palace for outdoor music in the evening, and a shop for excellent local chocolate. Darko was very welcoming to our small group of 6. He always only books small groups. He had a lot of historical info for us and toured us throughout the old town of Split. We were brought to venues that specialized in local delicacies as we weaved our way through the city. Most off the beaten track. He even shared recipes of some of the foods we loved! Would definitely recommend this tour! Fantastic evening!

Darko was very friendly, knowledgeable about all areas and questions asked, excellent with communication leading up to tour, flexible with changes we wanted to make and extremely accommodating I would highly recommend him! Dubravka was absolutely amazing! Her historical knowledge is impressive and she was able to provide my husband and I with great recommendations for the rest of the trip. The food portion of the tour was one of a kind! She took us to sample local dishes that we have never tried before and every dish we tried we loved! The tour was amazing from start to finish. Dube is well versed in history and gave us an amazing overview. This was especially helpful as it was our first day in Croatia. The tour focused on street food and introduced us to items we might not otherwise have run across or tried. The portions were generous, and we were very full at the end. If you are visiting Split, do yourself a favor and book this tour with Duba! Not only will you taste delicious food, you will learn the history of both Split and Croatia and laugh as well. Also, Duba is a fantastic resource- she basically helped us plan the rest of our trip with recommendations for Hvar, Korcula, and Dubrovnik. She supplied everything from restaurant choices to specific directions on local buses, beaches, and shops. Find her on your first day and the rest of your vacation will be all set. Duba is lovely and has a wealth of knowledge- did I mention that the food was great? It was! She tailored the tour to our taste and shared stories of growing up in Split.
