We had a wonderful time with Maria! She knew so much about Venice and easily navigated us through interesting historical parts of the city while enjoying delicious treats and a refreshment. She was kind and accommodating to our needs. We took 3 children with us. She also answers many questions we had and gave us suggestions on where to visit and eat during our stay! Maria was such a lovely host. With all the craziness of Venice, it was amazing to be with a guide that could show us the sweets and treats that locals enjoy. Gelato tastes sweeter when you know it’s made by a family passing their business from one generation to the next. She also found delicious treats my Vegan husband could enjoy. In addition to showing us places to get yummy treats, she also explained some Venetian history and took us to other very special places. After the tour she sent us many recommendations for other food to eat and places to see. We did almost all of them. Our trip to Venice was better because of Maria!Above & Beyond!

Die Tour mit Maria hat uns sehr gefallen. Wir haben die Führung als Überraschung für unsere Tochter gebucht, die an diesem Tag 8Jahre alt geworden ist. Der Spaziergang mit Maria hat uns viel Spass gemacht. Sie zeigte uns einige versteckte Ecken und Plätze und führte uns zu ihren liebsten Konditoreien, Gelaterie und zu einer kunterbunten Saftbar. Dabei konnten wir unsere Wünsche und Vorlieben äussern und Maria passte den Rundgang laufend an. Als ich nach einem Stoffladen fragte, wurde auch der gesucht und gefunden! Auch historisch wusste sie vieles zu erzählen. Die 2 Stunden sind wie im Flug vergangen, die Süßigkeiten waren köstlich und wir werden noch lange daran zurückdenken.persönlich, interessant und süss

Really enjoyed our tour with Maria. Was a perfect tour for us with our 3 children (10, 8 and 3.5). Plenty of stops to sample some delicious treats and the kids loved the smoothies!! Would definitely recommend for anyone unsure of what to do when visiting Venice. Maria gave us a wonderful tour that was both full of yummy treats and super interesting. We got to stop into pastry shops, cicchetti, and a juice place (we ran out of time for gelato only due to our personal plans). Maria chose excellent, local shops and along the route pointed out landmarks and unique cultural / historical aspects of Venice. We learned so much and loved the sweets! Our entire family agreed that (1) Maria is just an incredibly kind person who is great to spend time with and (2) food tours are the best way to see a city! This tour is one of our favorite memories of our trip. It wasn’t just a food tour— it was a tour of Venice that included many stops for food (which made it so easy for us with kids)! We learned a lot, visited places we would not have found on our own, and really enjoyed Maria’s company. If you get a chance to book a tour with her, you should absolutely do so! Wir, das sind unsere Jungs (7 und 10), mein Mann und ich, waren gestern mit Maria unterwegs und sind immer noch begeistert! Wir waren teilweise alleine an wunderschönen Plätzen und in den kleinen Gassen unterwegs. Kein Gedränge! Wir haben in genau den richtigen Abständen kleine Konditorei-Leckereien bekommen und sehr gute Smoothies, die wir in Sicht-Nähe der Rialtobrücke ALLEIN in Ruhe getrunken haben. Es gab viele spannende und witzige Infos über Venedig. Das Highlight der Jungs: der Buchladen mit Badewannen. Mein Highlight: sehr viele Möglichkeiten ungestört (d.h. ohne andere Touristen) kleine Gassen, Brücken etc. zu fotografieren. Highlight meines Mannes: interessante Infos und Venedig fernab der Touristen Hotspots. Auch hat uns Maria einen guten Tipp gegeben um ein bisschen Gondel fahren zu können ohne dafür so viel Geld ausgeben zu müssen. Diese Fahrten sind sehr teuer und meinen Jungs wäre nach 5 Minuten langweilig geworden. Beim nächsten Besuch in Venedig werden wir die Tour auf jeden Fall wieder buchen! Am 14.6.22 haben wir (6 Personen, davon 2 Kinder im Alter von 7 und 9 Jahren) mit Maria die "Süße Tour" durch Venedig gemacht. Maria hat pünktlich am vereinbarten Ort auf uns gewartet und uns sogleich Wissenswertes über den Marcus Platz vermittelt. Ohne ihre Stadtführung und umfangreichen Geschichtskenntnisse hätten wir viele Kleinigkeiten nicht entdeckt. Sehr nett war ihre Hinwendung zu den Kindern und gleichzeitig ihre auch kindgerechten Erklärungen. Die Unterbrechungen mit dem Kuchen, dem Smoothie, aber auch dem Eis waren gelungen. Wir waren das 1. Mal gemeinsam mit unserer fast 6jährigen Tochter in Venedig. Die „süsse“ Venedigtour war unser Trick, um sie zu einem Stadtrundgang zu motivieren. Maria war hierfür die perfekte Gastgeberin. Sehr sympathisch und freundlich hat sie uns am Markusplatz willkommen geheissen. Sie hat uns kleine Details gezeigt, die auch für unsere Tochter interessant waren. Die mit ihr besuchten Bäckereien war sehr gut, ein Gebäck geht mir gar nicht mehr aus dem Kopf ; ). Sie hatte die Tour vorbereitet und eine kleine Überraschung für uns reserviert. So hatten wir einen super Ausblick über die Dächer Venedigs. Zusätzlich zu unserer Tour hat sie uns noch jede Menge Tips für andere Unternehmungen mit Kindern in Venedig gegeben. Zeitlich war die 2-h Tour für unsere Tochter gut machbar, es gab viele kleine Stops, das war ein perfektes Tempo für sie. Wir können eine Tour mit Maria unbedingt empfehlen. Es war eine super schöne Tour durch ein herrliches Venedig mit der sehr sympathischen Maria! Die Zeit verging viel zu schnell! Ich kann diese Tour mit Maria nur empfehlen! Wir trafen uns unkompliziert am Markusplatz, gingen zumeist abseits der Touristen zu kleinen, feinen Lädchen, wo sie mir das einheimische Venedig zeigte. Ich fühlte mich wirklich wie ein Venezianer! This was my sixth visit to Venice but my first with my daughter. So I thought I knew the city quite well. I decided on a whim to book a tour guide to introduce the city to my daughter. I’m not really a “group person”. I don’t like a large group following a leader and struggling to hear a rigid commentary. So a tour for just the two of us was great as Maria could judge what we liked and quickly tailor things. Really enjoyed it. Maria did a great job of giving us a sightseeing tour as we sped through the backstreets to little bakeries and juice bars. A finally to a Gelateria for an excellent ice cream. Maria was charming and knowledgeable and helped bring the city and its history to life. So glad I did this and will do so again. A lovely new perspective on Venice

Maria was wonderful! She made sure we visited the authentic locations for pastries in Venice. She touched on some of the history, like a chocolate drink that was once a more common drink than coffee! And it was delicious! She took time to meet us at a location close to our rental. She altered the itinerary to provide more opportunities to experience Venice. And she provided us suggestions of locations to eat for dinner. Having a guide with the personal knowledge of the area was great. I'm still amazed how she knew her way around all those streets and shortcuts without Google Maps!Sweet Treats!

We took the pastry tasty tour with Maria. She took us through multiple areas and talked to us about the history of each area. When we reached the pastry shops she gave additional information regarding the pastry. Every bite was a delicious tasting. Maria also shared some of her personal restaurant choices along the way which was so helpful and we even made our way back to have a mozzarella in carrozza on a different day and applauded her recommendation. Maria’s kindness extended further in that she sent links to recommended restaurants and activities and even checked in with us to see if we had plans the following day. Maria was so sweet and full of information and little known facts about Venice. She took the time to give us great recommendations on the best dining in Venice and shared coveted tickets to a secret (maybe not so secret) viewing spot! I learned that a pastry tour is likely better in the first part of the day as many pastry shops were out of many sweets by 4-5pm. I was worried that going to 5 places for sweets would have been too much but the portions and sharing helped to not overload us too much. Finally, I don't think the tour needs to be 3 hours. Our group was mostly interested in the pastries and felt it was maybe a little long. But overall, we enjoyed the unique experience in Venice! Sweet, but not too sweet!
