Didot made our first day in Yogyakarta very special. We started at 3:00 a.m. with coffee he brought along and a drive to Borobudur Temple. We had booked a sunrise tour here. After the tour and breakfast, Didot picked us up again and we drove on to the next temple. Didot knows an incredible amount about the history of the region and talks very passionately about his homeland. We were able to change the tour a little bit in advance to suit our wishes and decided to have lunch at an Indonesian restaurant and take a batik course. The whole day was really lovely and we were able to pick up lots of tips for the rest of our trip. We are very happy that we booked the tour and were able to personalise it with Didot's help.
We had the best time with Didot. He explained us a lot about the history of Borobudur and Prambanan, brought us to beautiful spots and was the nicest guide we could ever dream of. He made our experience in Yogyakarta memorable! We recommend him +++
Yulaikha was a delightful guide on our food tour in Yogyakarta. She is genuine, kind, sincere, and welcoming, making us feel right at home upon arrival in a new city. She was professional as well as incredibly thoughtful and accommodating, tailoring the tour to our specific culinary needs and interests. Yulaikha’s depth of knowledge about local, regional, and national culture and history enhanced our experience. Her unique and insightful perspective as a young Indonesian woman gave us a new lens through which to understand life in Java. Her English is exceptional. She promptly responded to our numerous inquiries and made sure we were safely with our transport after the tour. Yulaikha's passion and expertise made our time in Yogyakarta memorable and unforgettable.
Tini and our driver arrived right on time. Tini is very knowledgeable about the history of Borobodur and Prabanan and expertly told the Ramayana story. She took us to a lovely, quiet place for lunch and stopped at a beautiful batik shop on our way back our hotel. Tini is a very experienced guide and our day was interesting and fun.
