Aprende sobre sus historias personales, y descubre cómo pueden explorar Palermo juntos
I thoroughly enjoyed the 2.5-hr walking tour through the Kalsa quarter in Palermo. Fabio is a great tour guide with an extensive knowledge of history, religion, politics, and architecture of his hometown Palermo. He told captivating stories about many sites off the beaten track that I would not have discovered myself. I highly recommend Fabio as your private tour guide in Palermo.
Our precious few hours spent in Salvo’s company commenced at the Fontana del Garraffo; a fitting tribute to both the abundance of Palermo’s lifeblood and Salvo’s love for his home city. Traversing the Kalsa Quarter, absorbed by Salvo’s knowledge of history, both ancient and modern, and much entertained by his wit and charm. Learning about the ‘golden basket’ of Palermo’s ‘blessings’, wandering through the park of ancient magnolia trees, overlooked by the shadows of the Spanish Inquisition and then delivered to the best and oldest coffee house in the city. Simply the perfect start to our stay. Grazie Salvo - ci siamo divertiti cosi tanto!
We loved walking around Palermo with Salvatore! He is so friendly and charming and knowledgeable. We didn’t have as much time as we would have liked, but he made it work, and he also helped us find secure parking. He could not have been a better host and guide. Can’t say enough about how much we enjoyed our time with him.
My tour of the Kalsa quarter with Salvatore was perfecto! I have been to Palermo many times and feel I am a bit more knowledgeable than the average tourist about the history of Palermo and Sicily. Yet this was my first time exploring Kalsa. You can tell Salvatore has a passion for his city and was very knowledgeable about the area we walked through. I was able to learn many new things about the history of the Kalsa and have a list of places to go back and explore on my own. I recommend this tour with Salvatore if you want to get away from the crush of the main Palermo sights and see a side that the locals experience, while learning how the city developed and expanded throughout the centuries.
