The best tour in our Rome trip!!
Claudio was amazing. He customized our tour to accommodate everyone from our family. From the start with local fresh cappuccinos to walking/hiking tour of on the hillside of Tuscolo to an unforgettable lunch at a local restaurant, Claudio paid attention to every detailed. It was a amazing tour. I would HIGHLY recommend Claudio. Thank you again Claudio!!!

An unforgettable day in charming Calcata.
We spent a whole day together with the friendly Matteo.
We started the day at a hidden gem of a café in Rome, then drove to Lago di Bracciano before arriving in the charming village of Calcata. Matteo was knowledgeable, and we learned a lot about the places we visited and about Rome in general.
We had an exquisite lunch at IL Guazzabuglio. Before heading back to Rome, we visited the tearoom La Sala, which boasts 101 types of tea and over 500 teapots.
Thank you so much, Matteo, for an unforgettable day.
But be warned—if you don’t like cats, Calcata is teeming with them!

Mauro was THE BEST! 10/10
I’m not sure that I expected much more than someone to drive us up to the Civita di Bagnareggio, show us someplace to have lunch in Orvieto, and then drive us back to Rome. But instead we got a very caring, experienced guide—Mauro! It took an hour and a half to drive to the Civita during which we had a wonderful conversation about families, politics, and some of the more subtle differences between the US and Italy. I had been to the Civita 25 years ago with my daughter when there was a parking lot at the beginning of the quarter mile, very steep bridge which leads up to the little Civita. This time the parking lot was farther away up a steep hill which would have to be navigated on our descent, and I wasn’t sure I could do both the bridge uphill and the return path uphill. It wasn’t easy, but grazie to Mauro, he found me a ride back up the hill. And he knew so much about the history of the Civita. So it was more than a walk through at an interesting little town.
In Orvieto he knew how to navigate the escalators in the tunnels to reduce our uphill climb, which by then was definitely appreciated. And he recommended 2 restaurants. We chose one and were happy with our choice.
Because Mauro has lived in the US, his English is impeccable, and I CANT RECOMMEND HIM HIGHLY RNOUGH!

The highlight of my vacation
I can not recommend Sal enough!! He was the highlight of my Rome experience. He suggested a hike on the Appian way and it was epic. He met me at the train station at 6 am and he already had my ticket for me and we took the train out of Rome. It was perfect i cant recommend this enough even if you need to do a shorter hike than I did. He completely got that I wanted to keep it moving so we walked 10 miles while he gave me the history of what we were seeing. In between we had fabulous conversation. I will be back!!!
