Lisa has lived in Penang for 16 years, and her deep knowledge of the island’s diverse cultures and cuisines shines through in every stop, story, and bite. From the vibrant street food stalls to tucked-away local favorites, she guided me through a carefully curated selection of dishes that represented the rich blend of Malay, Chinese, and Indian influences that make Penang such a culinary gem. We’d been eating street food in Malaysia for 2 weeks by the time we did this, but Yasin still managed to show us a whole new range of foods and places we would never have found. Plus he is a friendly and open guy and we had some good conversations about Malaysia and life in general. Great fun and well worth the money
