Aleksandra is an incredibly knowledgeable guide who shared so much interesting information about Polish modern history, traditions and food culture. She took us to three different places - the first was for "starters" and vodka, the second was for the main meal (a very traditional one similar to what my Polish father would make) and we finished with a lovely cream cake at a small shop that brings the cake in daily from Pope John Paul II hometown nearby. Perfect amount of food, diverse settings and a delightful host.
I had a great time hiking in the Tatras Mountains with Bartek. He was friendly, did a great job coordinating the day, had interesting talking points and the scenery on the hike we went on was beautiful. As a solo female traveler who has been trying to go on more hike while traveling, this was exactly the experience I was looking for to get out of the city and see the countryside, and it felt really safe from pick up to drop off. If you enjoy hiking and good company, would highly recommend this tour experience. Thank you, Bartek!
Bartek gave my 14 yo grandson and me a fantastic tour of Main Square, Wawel Castle, and the Jewish Quarter for most of the day. His knowledge and story-telling ability of the history of Krakow and especially what occurred during the period leading up to WWII was very broad and spending the day with Bartek was a pleasure. The pace was perfect, he chose a great restaurant for a quick bite, and we gained an excellent understanding of Krakow and the history of Poland. My grandson and I highly recommend Bartek if you are looking for a well-paced and informative day!
Aleksandra provides engaging color and depth to the history, architecture and culture of Krakow and Poland. She is extremely knowledgeable including heraldry which further enhanced the tour since there is so much symbolism tying the past to present.
