For our first trip to Amsterdam, we were lucky enough to visit during the Light Festival. We booked a boat tour with Carl to see the festival from a very unique (and cozy!) perspective. Both Carl and his boat were so lovely! We had such wonderful conversation and learned much about the artwork of the festival as well as other things about Amsterdam and the areas we were in. The pleasure of Carl’s company was certainly ours and I highly recommend choosing this tour and having Carl as your guide!

Magical canal tour

We took a canal tour in Carl’s beautifully restored boat from the 1920s. It was our first night in Amsterdam - what a fabulous introduction to the city! Carl took us along the route for the Light Festival. His knowledge of and love for his city was obvious and we learned so much during our 90 minute cruise. He was warm, charming and interesting. Couldn’t recommend him more highly!
