Ciao! My name is Adriano and I was born and raised in Bari.

I've always been in love with my city and its folklore. Arts, cultures and travelling have always interested me, which explains why I became a certified guide. Never having been to Bari before, my husband and I contacted WithLocals. We were lucky enough to be assigned to Adriano, a Barese native with a breadth of knowledge about the area. He provided us with in depth information and the history, the food, and the culture. After the tour he sent us tips for dining in Bari, above and beyond. A great experience. Adriano was an incredible guide with an engaging personality and an obvious appreciation for the beautiful local culture. Given this, we had a fabulous 3 hour tour of the alleys of Bari as well as the area just outside of old town with French and more modern influences. Walking through the alleys of Bari, Adriano engages with the locals who are outside in their “living rooms” enjoying the community and some even making pasta! We also saw markets and enjoyed an amazing taste of local meat and cheeses. Highly recommend this experience with Adriano and the more personal With Locals tours.Excellent!

From the time I first contacted Adriano about my special request, he was kind, professional, and knowledgeable. He worked in advance of our visit to secure documents related to my ancestors in the small town of Grumo Appulo near Bari. He was thorough and attentive to the needs of our large group. Adriano was a fantastic guide and really took us on a journey into not only the physical, but the heart beat of the historical centre of Bari. Adriano, vertelt vol enthousiasme en liefde over 'zijn' stad Bari. De historie, de architectuur, de mooie verborgen pareltjes van Bari. Adriano fietst je rustig de stad door en geeft je voldoende tijd om te genieten al het moois en van het lekkers, de lokale lekkernijen op een heerlijke plek met uitzicht op de de stad en de zee! Wij waren al gecharmeerd van Bari maar Adriano heeft Bari naar een hoger level weten te brengen. Ik raad iedereen aan om een fietstour met Adriano te doen. Adriano, een enthousiaste tour guide!

Highly recommended. Adriano made the experience personalised for my friend’s bachelorette party. She was delighted by all the surprises. We asked Adriano for a custom tour of local neighborhoods instead of the typical tourist spots and he delivered a very special half-day walking tour. We started at the open air market where locals buy vegetables, seafood, and more. We walked by the train station, parks, university and theaters. He explained the historic evolution of the different areas of the city and highlighted different building styles. The best part was all of the local places that we visited where he knew the owners who welcomed us warmly as he explained how the family that owned the bakery actually drove McDonald's out of the countyside. We ate warm focaccia like locals on the go, toured a 100-year-old wine shop where they hid in the cellar during the war, and even visited the local shoemaker. He showed us the spot where he meets friends to listen to music, read a book or enjoy a beer. It was 100% unique and exactly what we hoped it would be. Wonderful tour of how locals live in Bari

We were fortunate to find Adriano. He was responsive. That is a big deal for us. We got the tour we wanted not a packaged presentation. We both had Barese grandparents and so a keen interest in the culture and customs and he was able to add richness to what we had been told. He brought us through the old city and gave us a picture of their way of life. We even got to meet a couple of them. He explained the later growth and showed us the life of the modern city. Not only a great tour, but a foundation for our exploration on our own the next day. Couldn’t Have Been Better
