Hola! Encantado de conocerte

Alaya

Hola!

Hi! Hello I am Alaya, half Argentine and half Mexican I grew up in Argentina and loved this country since I was a child because I traveled to Mexico since I was a child so I decided to move here 6 years ago.I traveled to many places in Mexico and I live and love the city. CDMX is more than La Condesa or the Frida Museum. Walking in CDMX is living hundreds of years of history, traditions, culture and modernity, flea markets, Mercados, taquerías, historic houses, etc.

When you decide to chose a tour pay atention in:

On zmonday museums are closed, it s important because so many historical buildings are museums

On Sunday museums are free for mexican so always all places are crowded

On Sunday there are many streets and Avenues that are closed for bikes or roller

Uber or taxi sometime is not a good option: Mexico city is one of the city with more traffic in the world

For visit centro historico we need to walk a lot, it s not possible by car or bike

I am a Spanish teacher for foreigners and I usually tour the city with my students to show them incredible and favorite places and this way they will get to know CDMX better than a local and they will be very surprised.Mexico city has many places to visit by walking by bicycle or by public transportation, it is not necessary to have a car, it is more impossible to get to know the city with a car, the streets of Mexico City

If you would like to do another walking tour, for example around Chapultepec I know some interesting hidden places, not to crowded like the hidden mural of Diego Rivera or the cablebus in Chapultepec. Ask me and we coul plan a personalized option.

In México city I recommend try to be open to smelling smells because every part of the city, streets or markets, has food, Mexico you breathe it in the street, the life of Mexicans happens in the street. Another essential thing is to be open to people, Mexicans are very curious and questioning and street vending has been like this since before colonization and Mexico City is one of the most populated in the world, there are always people everywhere.

Alaya was very nice and chill. She showed us some pretty and cool places, but we were hoping for some more history or background. Also, she was a bit hard to hear sometimes because she would talk while walking forward and I was standing behind her. Luckily, my daughter helped relay the information to me.

Alaya communicated several times with me before our trip to Mexico and was very detailed in describing our meeting place. She is charming and a fun person to be with. She was able to tell us about the history and the many streets we walked on, including the park through which we walked. She was sure to take us through the market and pointed out good ice cream. At our stopping point, she directed us to La Casa Azul, only 2 blocks away. Had we not had timed tickest at the Casa, we would have loved to spend more time with her in this beautiful area of CDMX.Beautiful Coyoacán with Alaya

Alaya was the perfect guide for our introduction to MXCD. She showed us hidden gems that we would never have found as well as the main places to see. She gave us loads of useful suggestions and was so helpful in terms of our next few days. We would highly recommend using Alaya.Friendly, relaxed and knowledgeable

We loved learning more about Coyoacan: the culture, the people, the traditions, the coffee and ice cream, and the history. Since we had already been to the Frida Museum, we wanted to dig deeper, and Alaya provided a hands-on walking tour. We learned so many "local" tidbits about the area that you don't often read in a guidebook. Put on your walking shoes because the best way to see the area is by walking through it. We were even "blessed" in one of the parks and saw so many families and couples eating, dancing, eating, listening to music, and enjoying life. Alaya brought it alive for us by telling us the back stories, and showing us where to get away from the hubbub of one of the largest cities in the world! She even helped us get an rideshare in a downpour. Book a tour soon and enjoy!Dig Deeper into Mexico City
