We were very pleased with our city/tasting tour with Alasssndro He is very knowledgeable regarding the history of Verona Also the pizza, cannoli and wine were all delicious Verona with Alassandto

Alessandro was a pleasant, knowledgeable guide who took us on an interesting 90 minute tour of the highlights in Verona, taking us to the Castelvecchio, the Arena and city walls and gates.He pointed out restaurants off the beaten track and useful places to visit later.Verona Kickstart Tour

Alessandro was extremely passionate and knowledgeable about his city! The tour was really interesting and loved the food places he took us to. We thoroughly enjoyed our tour with Alessandro. It allowed us to discover the main attractions of the city, as well as some hidden gems and less known facts. The food was superb, and we would thoroughly recommend it for anyone wanting to maximise their experience when coming to Verona. Great company, beautiful city!

We were looking forward to experiencing the local food culture of Verona, but unfortunately, this tour didn’t quite meet our expectations. While our guide, Alessandro, was kind and personable, the tour felt more like a general walk through the city’s history rather than a curated culinary experience. The tastings were limited—just gelato, pizza, affogato, and a small wine sample—far fewer than the 10 tastings we were expecting. Additionally, it didn’t feel like the stops were pre-planned or coordinated with the food venues, which took away from the sense of a well-organized experience. We’ve done food tours in other cities that felt more immersive and thoughtfully put together, with a stronger focus on local specialties. While Verona is a beautiful city with so much to offer, we were hoping for a deeper dive into its unique food culture. With some adjustments and more attention to the culinary aspect, this tour could become a great experience. As it stands, we felt it didn’t quite deliver the value we had hoped for.Friendly guide but disappointing food tour

Alessandro was a very friendly and knowledgeable guide to Verona. He was able to give us many interesting facts and insights about the city. He also provided insight into the true inspiration for Romeo & Juliet’s story. Informative and interesting

Alessandro was an amazing host in Verona. He met us close to our rental and took us through all the highlights of the city. It was hot but we didn’t mind because the history and beauty of the city came to life. He gave us great tips for dinner and we had the most amazing ice cream in the world!! We even got to see the best tortellini maker in the world - who is his friend. We are so glad we made a stop in Verona! We will be back!!We love Verona!!

If you are considering it, do it! Alessandro was a fantastic guide, full of knowledge about the local area and food. Often sharing where he would go and what he would eat - great recommendations! We spent three hours with Alessandro on one of the hottest days of the year so far. The Affogatos were a great way to start the tour. We loved the tapas style lunch and local wines and oils to try. Gelatos, cannoli, granitas all appreciated too! All the information related to historical Verona through the ages and how it has become the beautiful, eclectic city it is now. Never rushed, Alessandro became part of our group of 6 walking around the city. He tailored the food and tour to our questions, likes and requests … but also added far more than we expected! Thank you so much Alessandro. We will definitely consider enjoying another personalised experience like this on our future travels. Fantastic Experience in Verona

We had a great time with Alessandro- a pleasure to spend time with. He grew up in Verona and we did a sweeping tour of the old city. He knows the town, the history and all its eateries very well. Great sense of humor. He customized the tour for us. Would recommend Alessandro for a tour of history, culture and sight seeing. Grazie!It doesnt get more local.
