Hello, I’m Alexandros — a licensed tour guide with over 15 years of experience in cultural tourism, based in Thessaloniki.

This city isn’t just where I live — it’s a place I know deeply and care about sharing with visitors in a meaningful way. My goal is to offer more than a typical tour. I aim to create a thoughtful, engaging experience that connects you with the stories, heritage, and living culture of Thessaloniki.

We can walk together through its many layers — from ancient archaeological sites to Byzantine churches, Ottoman landmarks, and lively neighbourhoods — or venture beyond the city for a personalized day trip to some of Northern Greece’s most important cultural destinations.

Did a 2 hour city tour with Alexandros yesterday. He was so knowledgeable and we covered so much. Started with alot of the history which was great to understand. Spent more time at sights that interested us more. We unfortunately were running late but he worked that out for us and even had a cold beer waiting for us which was very thoughtful. When I asked Ai today for sights to see and do in Thessaloniki, Alexandros had already covered everything with us which was great. Highly recommend as a great way to understand a new city and get your bearings for future exploration. At the end gave us a map and went over everything and marked great aces to eat and drink and other places we asked him about. Thank you from the New Zealanders!!City Tour a great experience

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We had such a great time on our food tour of Thessaloniki with Alex! Everything we tried was super authentic and absolutely delicious. You could tell Alex really knows the local scene—he had an awesome connection with the people at each stop, which made the experience feel even more special. On top of that, he shared so much interesting history about the city. With his background in communication and history, he made everything really engaging and easy to connect with. We had a fantastic food tour of Thessaloniki with Alex! He immersed us in the history, culture, and beauty of the city while blending gastronomic experiences into the tour. His enthusiasm was boundless and he was totally dedicated to making sure that we enjoyed every step of the way. It is rare to find a guide so knowledgeable. We had the pleasure of taking an evening walking tour with Alexandros. It was on our first day in Thessaloniki (which served us well as we picked up so much valuable information that made the rest of the trip all the more richer). I am a Canadian Pastor, so the two biblical tours we had with Alex were great. The first day with Alex, we traveled to ancient Philippi, and Kavala. Alex's knowledge of the biblical history, and its importance made the Scriptures come alive for me. Not only was Alex informed, he was respectful of the importance of the sites to me. For example, he gave me time to read and reflect at the river where Lydia was baptized. It was very moving spiritually, and a moment in time I will always remember. The following day, we toured Thessaloniki, again with the focus on the biblical and religious significance in the life of the Apostle Paul and the establishing of the church. When discussing the history and importance of Thessaloniki, I knew Alex was truly in his element! Again Alex respected what was important to me and my wife. For example, because it was a Sunday, Alex waited while we participated in the church service that was in progress. His sensitivity to what he knew was important to us, along with the incredible views and information was spectacular. I would highly recommend Alex!!Informative

We absolutely loved touring Highlights and Hidden Gems in Thessaloniki with Alexandros. He is an excellent guide providing insight into the history of Thessaloniki. Time flew right by as we visited monuments, UNESCO World Heritage Sites, the markets and their historical significance, restaurants and food ideas. We enjoyed every minute and we’re grateful to Alex for the beautiful introduction to his city.History, Culture, & Markets
