Amit

Thank you for making it here. I am Amit Chandra, known as Whistling Hound across digital platforms.

I am a Digital Marketer, Creative Writer, and Tour Guide by profession. But before anything, I am a Storyteller.

My tour-guiding journey began in the summer of 2019 in Rovaniemi Lapland, where I started as a Wilderness Tour Guide. Previously, I landed this incredible opportunity to guide Northern Lights tours, husky and reindeer farm visits and sleigh rides, Lappish barbecue, ice fishing, canoeing, midnight sun canoeing, berries and mushroom picking tours, among others.

Thanks to my eternal love for adventures, I often find myself amidst unknown suburbs savouring distinct cuisines, on adventurous trails, in postcard alleys, among diverse people, moody skies, motifs, ancient art, indigenous cultures, and even the Aurora Borealis. Things that comprise life!

Nowadays, I live and work in Wrocław. I conduct guided tours in small/large groups in Wrocław, Lower Silesia, different corners of Poland, and neighbouring countries like the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Germany, Austria, Hungary, and Finland. I also curate and conduct tours via some of my trusted and competent colleagues living in Lapland.

5 years after living and curiously exploring different corners of Poland, I already feel confident about travelling and sharing tales of the land. I am convinced I can navigate my way around, guide curious tourists, and share a piece of Wrocław, Dolny Slask, and Poland in general.

Nature excites me; nature inspires me. A spot close to nature and wilderness is my haven.

I write stories for brands and share tales of places and bits of history with people I meet. I am an amateur photographer (getting better) who loves capturing the essence of places and the moments defining them.

Die Tour mit Amit in Breslau war absolut großartig! Amit ist ohne Zweifel der beste Guide der Stadt – er kennt nicht nur die wichtigsten Sehenswürdigkeiten, sondern auch viele spannende Geheimtipps, die man alleine nie entdecken würde. Sein Know-how über die Geschichte, Kultur und das Leben in Breslau ist beeindruckend, gleichzeitig erklärt er alles locker, verständlich und mitreißend. Man merkt sofort, dass er mit Herzblut dabei ist. Wer Breslau wirklich erleben und verstehen möchte, sollte unbedingt eine Tour mit Amit machen – besser geht es nicht!Top Tour with great Amkt

We like to book food tours to get to know a new place, its vibe and its food culture. We learned so much about the city of Wroclaw during our food tour with Amit. He was extremely knowledgeable about the history of the city, the food culture and people of Wroclaw. We had plenty of good food and tasted much of the comfort foods and drinks in Wroclaw. He had wonderful stories and history to share about the old city, the university, the churches and the cultural celebrations and customs. We highly recommend this tour with Amit and do come hungry. You will be happy you did the tour.Excellent Introduction to Wroclaw

We always like to incorporate a food tour with the cities we visit, and this was one of the best. Our guide Amit was warm and welcoming to his wonderful city. His enthusiasm for the area and the foods was infectious. He introduced us to around 10 local dishes and drinks. My daughter and I enjoyed most of them, and possibly would have been scared to try some of them without Amits description of the ingredients and how they are enjoyed locally. As well as the food, Amit is so knowledgeable about local history and walked us around Cathedral Island, pointing out where to eat dinner to best see the Lamplighter in the evening. He gave us many recommendations for bars, restaurants and music venues in the city. This tour is so enjoyable and such great value for money .. I suggest you don’t eat breakfast .. you need to save space. Thanks Amit for making our trip a bit special. Wonderful food (& history) tour 😊

Amit was a great guide for us in Wroclaw! Even tho the focus was food-and we got to try so many traditional and delicious local foods-he had a lot of information about the city, the buildings and the history that added so much to our understanding of the city and of our time there! Booked a 2 hour tour with Amit. My sisters and I had a fabulous time. Very worth while and we learned a lot about Wroclaw. Amit was very knowledgeable and great fun. He tailored the tour to our interests. Highly recommended. You will not be disappointed!Highly enjoyable and fun tour with Amit

I had a private tour with Amit in Wroclaw. First of all, it was Amit's birthday, so we had to make a stop for a cake! Wroclaw has a rich history, and the architecture of the churces are particularily beautiful. I had an engaging trip around the old parts of town, and the tour was spiced up with stories, that made it more engaging. Being a local, i also got to see some more hidden gems. We also had a trip out side the old town, to see the contennial hall. If you're in town, i can heartly reccomend Amit as a guide!Great introduction to Wroclaw

Amit was just great. He was so knowledgeable and informative. Not only that his delivery was excellent and made it easy to follow the history of Wroclaw. The weather wasn't great but that didn't stop Amit. He didn't rush or cut corners, he carried on in such a professional way. I would highly recommend Amit for a great experience in any of the cities he covers. Great guide
