My name is Ana, and I welcome you to my beautiful city!

I'm an official tour guide from Granada, where I was born and raised. I would like to tell you a little more about myself so you can choose me as your next local guide.

I studied Art History at the University of Granada. Then I took a Master's in Production and Researched History and Fine Arts, so I have all the knowledge to show you this astonishing place.

During my university senior year, in 2014, I earned a scholarship and started working as a guide in a museum in the city center, there is where I learned most of my skills as a guide. It was also the time when I realized I would like to work as a tour guide, so I took up language lessons to apply for official accreditation.

When I finished my Master's, I took a gap year, so I could travel a little around before starting a full-time job.

I lived in Liguria, northern Italy, for a while, and also in Edinburgh, Scotland. It was a great experience, I learned a lot about other cultures, and made me improve my Italian and English. Then, I knew I was ready for the hard work.

Meanwhile, I started my Ph.D. and sometimes is tough working and studying at the same time, but I think of my thesis as my hobby, and is easier that way.

I have also written several articles about Granada, Alhambra, and the Christian period right after 1492, published in very important magazines.

When I have some free time I like to read, a lot. I am also a collector of rare and old books, which is one of my greatest passions. I do like traveling, and I have been to many places. One of the best things about being a guide in monuments like the Alhambra is that you have the opportunity to talk and share experiences with people from all over the world, and for me is a great enrichment. It's like traveling and being home.

My personality is calm and patient. I know how to manage difficult situations, and politeness is my main rule. But don't worry! I am not serious at all, you will see me always smiling.

I provide Alhambra Tours, City Center, Old Town Albaicin, Sacromonte, and Christian Buildings.

If you're looking for a local guide, Ana is incredible. She is knowledgable about Granada, the Alhambra, and is willing to adjust and collaborate to make sure her tours focus on the things that matter most to you. She also has a wonderful speaking voice and conducts her tours with excellent pacing to ensure you see what you need to see, but have time to wander, ask questions, and reflect on what you are seeing. We thoroughly enjoyed touring the Monastery, Cathedral and Chapel with Ana. She is very pleasant and knowledgeable, giving us much insight into the history of the region as well as the architecture and art of these amazing places. Definitely recommend. Granada monuments tour with Ana.

Anna is an art historian and it shows in her approach to Alhambra. I had two tours with Ana, the Alhambra one and the Christian Granada One, and I would definitely recommend both! As an art historian, Ana has an in-depth knowledge that really unlocks the places for you, and she shares the information in a very accessible and engaging way. I had a fantastic experience visiting the Alhambra, the Cathedral, the Royal Chapel and the St Jerome Monastero: Ana made each of these places come alive - I learned so many things that really enhanced my visit in Granada! In addition to this, I asked her for recommendations on books that I could read, and she gave me a very wide choice covering different styles.
