I get my kick out of socialising, live music, inspiring art, meeting new people and exploring uncharted territories. I am into design and architecture, love new technology but also have great respect for our heritage and objects of the past. Being a Pisces, I love going to the waters and I make the best of our many spas. For me Budapest is a perfect-sized city, where you can reach places relatively quickly and easily but there is always something new and unexpected happening somewhere. The river creates a clear divide between the two sides and I can always go to Pest if I'm after the hustle and bustle of the big city or retreat to Buda for greenness, calm and relaxation. I have done a fair bit of travelling and lived in Scotland for nearly 5 years in the early 2000s which gave me a new perspective when returning to my city and taught me seeing Budapest from an outsider's point of view.

Whilst the weather wasn’t the kindest, Andras was a fabulous host taking us round and showing us the sites of Budapest. We followed his advice the next day as we explored the city on our own and as a result saw some amazing views that we would otherwise have missed. We also were much better able to understand what we were looking at in relation to the history of the city and its people. Great experience with a lovely with local host.Showery walk through Budapest

We did the 3 hour private walking tour and were extremely,y pleased! András was terrific, showed us everything we were wanting to see and provided a lot of very useful information for the rest of our stay. He was very personable, exceptionally knowledgeable and his English was excellent, very easy to understand Excellent tour, Andras was great!!

We were only in Budapest for 36 hours so we had to maximize our time … Andras was great source of history and information. He was quick to respond and we would highly recommend him! TY Andras! Great Kickstart to Budapest!

Andras provided an excellent three-hour walking tour, which he kindly started at our hotel. He is extremely knowledgeable and brings the 1,000-year history (longer if you include its Roman origins) of Budapest to life. Most of the Pest side of the city was built in the late 1800s and he helped us to visualize the urban plan and architecture come into being. My favourite part, perhaps, was a visit to a beautiful and storied café from that period, where Andres treated us to a coffee. We highly recommend Andras as a local guide to Budapest. Andras showed us around with great knowledge of the city history and its famous palaces, buildings, monuments and sites. And all of that with a pause in an elegant traditional cafè. Two thumbs up!Budapest: history, coffee and great chats.

We had an excellent time with Andras and learned so much about Budabest and Hungary's past and present. It was like touring the city with our best friend. From the very first contact from Andras he was responsive and very flexible and provided us with options to sell t on our own. He also made sure that we knew how to use the Metro to get to our activies we booked for the next day. You could tell how much Hungary meant to him. The only thing we wished was different was that we would have liked to have spent more time with Andras. We hope that if he ever makes it to Northern California, he will look us up. Andras was the best!

Andras met us at our hotel and was warm and friendly. He listened to what we’d seen the previous day, and adapted brilliantly to suit us and help us get the most out of the time we had with him. He was so full of great history and observations, as well as wonderful amusing anecdotes. We were full of questions, and he answered them all fully and thoughtfully. All 4 of us were blown away by the tour, and felt a little bereft and rudderless when he left! Absolutely wonderful, and we thoroughly recommend him! Thankyou Andras! 😄 Absolutely fantastic tour!

We absolutely enjoyed the experience with Andras, he was very knowledgeable and helpful and provided us with lots of information on the country’s and city’s history.
