Hi, I'm Ângelo.

I was born in Lisbon but due professional reasons with one foot in other cities.

I'm a sports psychologist, but in 2010 I crossed paths with tourism and it became a passion.

Lisbon captivates me every day: The unique light, the incredible viewpoints, the fusion of cultures and the vibrant energy. I love its history, local culture and it's people.

Another passion? Food! I'm a true foodie and I believe that the best way to get to know a culture is at a table, tasting authentic dishes and sharing stories.

I'm a curious person, a world traveler, a dedicated host and I love welcoming you and revealing little secrets that only locals know.

Let me first begin by saying that Ângelo and I were in contact immediately after booking and he was accommodating to rebook our tour due to a flight delay. Ângelo was very knowledgeable on Lisbon history and provided images on his iPad. We learned a lot about the history and his insights during our tour. We went to many hidden gems throughout the city which we would have never thought to go to had it not been for this tour. We feel like we have a genuine deeper understanding of the city of Lisbon due to Ângelo. The tour was well worth the price and we highly recommend Ângelo.Delightful and Educational Tour!

One of the highlights of our 10 day trip through Portugal was definitely our food tour through Lisbon with Angelo. I booked the tour for my family of four which included my husband, 18 and 21 year old kids and myself. We met up with Angelo and he provided an overview of the tour and gave us a bit of a Lisbon history lesson to set the stage. All of the food we tasted during 6 stops was delicious and unique. Angelo went above and beyond in seeking out not only the very best of traditional food but he made an effort to support small businesses that focus on local, high quality ingredients. Definitely go hungry. Angelo's knowledge of Portuguese history and the culture was shared in a way that conveyed his passion for his country and also drew us in so that we began to feel the same. He also followed up after the tour with additional recommendations for things to see and do during our trip as well as providing a summary of all the places we explored and the history discussed. You will not be disappointed if you book a tour with Angelo. He is as friendly and thoughtful as he is knowledgeable. Thank you Angelo.

We did the 10 Tastings of Lisbon with Angelo. It was the best afternoon we could have asked for--better than we imagined. As Angelo says, the best way to understand a city is around a table, sharing food, drinks, and conversation with friends. That is what the whole experience felt like. Each spot that Angelo picked for us to visit was off the beaten path and showed us places that we would have never found on our own and allowed us to support small local Lisbon businesses. Not only was all the food absolutely delicious but as we sat and tried each food and drink, Angelo enriched our experience with not only telling us about the history of Lisbon but also about how the food we were eating, the flavors, the history of Lisbon, and contemporary Lisbon all connected in that one bite of food or one sip. It was just a phenomenal experience and Angelo truly felt like a local friend. He is the best! Angelo made us fall more in love with the city and made us want to explore every part of it. Even after the tour, he sent us countless recommendations of markets and bars and activities to enrich our time here in Lisbon according to our interests and passions. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Angelo and this tour!! Do not hesitate--book it! Angelo IS THE GUIDE YOU WANT

Angelo was the MOST AMAZING food tour guide. He toured our family of 5 including teen & young adult kids. He was very flexible trying to work with the holiday and early closures of his favorite restaurants. He reversed the tour to be sure we would make it to all the places he wanted to take us to in order to get a full exposure to many different foods & neighborhoods. Angelo was so incredibly knowledgeable with the history of the food choices he'd made too. Every step he was sharing the history of Lisbon and the food. He chose restaurants that had friendly staff and the freshest tasting foods. We walked to different neighborhoods to really get a taste of what Lisbon has to offer. He was fun, informative and fully exposed us to food we would not have otherwise tried. Even after the tour he followed up with a message with reasons he chose the food he did and listed out all the restaurants for us to go back to enjoy again. He also gave us a full listing of options close to our hotel to enjoy and we chose two of them and were blown away with food. If you're looking for a tour guide that will be very thorough, extremely informative with lots of history and a great follow up to guide you the rest of your stay, choose Angelo!! We had a fantastic walking tour in Lisbon with Angelo! It was perfect for our family — engaging for both adults and kids. Angelo was warm, friendly, and full of great energy that kept us captivated throughout, including the kids! He shared fascinating stories about the city’s history and culture in a way that was really easy to follow and fun. Angelo also gave us super helpful tips for getting around Lisbon and recommended some excellent local spots to eat — not tourist traps, but places we truly enjoyed. Highly recommend Angelo as a tour guide for anyone visiting Lisbon, especially if you’re traveling with kids!

Angelo is an extremely professional and knowledgeable tour guide. He cares about his job and wants to show you all the history and best of Portugal. At the end of our walking tour we asked for a Tuk Tuk recommendation and he referred us to Ivan who was also excellent. Our trip to Lisbon would not have been as special had we not met Angelo.10/10

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Angelo and our time with him in Lisbon. We did both his Historical and 10 Tastings tours. We knew we would see interesting things and eat delicious treats. We did not realize we would walk away with such a deep understanding of Portugal's history, people, customs, wine and culinary delights. Not only did he spend extra time with us both days but he sent me an incredible number of recommendations for restaurants, bars and experiences for both Lisbon and Porto. He even helped me with getting a Ryanair flight booked (which is virtually impossible to do from the US). Thank you for every moment Angelo. You elevated our Lisbon experience beyond words. Angelo Andre gave us an unforgettable experience touring the historical highlights of Lisbon. As someone who emigrated to the US at a very young age , I knew very little about Portuguese history. Angelo taught me more in the few hours we spent with him than I could have learned in a full semester course. His passion and knowledge permeated during our entire tour. If you want to learn and experience Portuguese history and culture, this tour is a must do.Must do experience

Would 100% recommend Angelo to anyone looking to experience Lisbon with a local! Angelo met us at the train station and asked us to treat him as a friend for the duration of the tour and said to ask as many questions we would like on various topics and sites as we travelled through the city. Angelo was very courteous and deeply knowledgeable on his subject. He obviously had researched this subject very well, both historic and current Lisbon. He very clearly loves the city and is very protective of its heritage. He brought us to a number of local shops and gave us a flavour of Portuguese/Lisbon culture including Ginjinha and the coffee culture. He also had a great rapport with local businesses. Big Highlight of our trip to the area. Thank you Angelo! Fantastic experience
