"Since Porto is a small city, but with huge potencial, We are constantly been surprised in every corner, street, sidewalk with her personality.
Using the bike we can go to all places we want in a few minutes and with my knowledge we can avoid the traffic and the city ""buzz"", by using some romantic/typical promenades.

I’ve been on two tours with Anselmo and they were both perfect. His knowledge of Porto, the Douro Valley, and wine is vast and he has great answers for every question you ask. He has shown us great views we wouldn’t possibly have found on our own and every spot we stopped was amazing. I highly recommend booking a tour with Anselmo, you’ll love it. Fantastic experience

The bike tour with Anselmo is highly recommended. It already started with the great communication beforehand. We were scheduled to cycle with Anselmo on Friday, but on Thursday we had dinner at a restaurant he recommended. That was already a promising start to the bike ride.
Anselmo takes you off the beaten track. If you're looking for a ride past all the major city landmarks, he's probably not the guide for you. But if you'd like to cycle along the Romantic Road, enjoy views from a quiet bridge overlooking Porto, and experience something a little different: definitely book with Anselmo. He speaks English well and takes photos of your group during the tour. We would absolutely recommend him!Perfect to explore Porto's hidden corners

Anselmo is a great guide. He communicated with us the day before the trip, and was prompt to pick us up. As we drove from Barcelona to the Douro valley, he gave us several options on how to spend the day, to find the best fit for us. We had coffee and local pastries to start, and then an amazing scenic drive through the valley with several stops to get out and enjoy the beauty. We toured several wineries, had an amazing lunch, and enjoyed the history of the wine making in the valley that Anselmo provided. Overall it was a fantastic day, I can't recommend Anselmo enough!! Entertaining and Informative Douro trip

Anselmo is fantastic! He is friendly, knowledgeable and passionate about port wine and the Douro Valley. It took about 1.5hrs to drive out to the valley from Porto. Anselmo was a great driver and the journey was overall very pleasant. In addition to taking us to two wineries in the valley, Anselmo also made a point to show us "the real Douro" and we stopped at a local cafe in the town for espresso, pastry and a small port wine. It was perhaps our favorite part of the tour! Anselmo took us down into the valley on a road he discovered as an avid biker. The road allowed us to drive down to the river through the terraces and vines with extraordinary views the whole way. Overall, such an amazing experience. We are already planning on recommending Anselmo to our friends who are visiting Porto in the fall. He was perfectly informative, but didn't overload us with details. The whole experience felt more like a local friend showing us around than a formal tour!Highly recommend the Douro Valley tour!

My husband and I had the most fabulous day with Anselmo to the Douro Valley from Porto. He was professional and fun; we learned so much about the area and Portugal in general, including funny stories along the way. We were blown away by the magnificence of the area. Thrilled to visit an authentic small town for local port, coffee, church visit and Anselmo’s local tarts. Visits to vineyards, including lunch were also wonderful experiences. We highly recommend touring with Anselmo. Douro Valley

We had a fabulous morning with Anselmo who had communicated well with us in advance and organised e-bikes (which I do recommend unless you’re very fit - Porto is seriously hilly). Anselmo tailored our tour to the fact that we had already had a walking tour of the inner city and took us to some wonderful places we would never have found ourselves. He knows the city like the back of his hand, shares great stories and facts about it and knows exactly where to take you for the best views. We had a much better impression of Porto after our tour and highly recommended Anselmo for a great upbeat way to spend a few hours. Brilliant way to see Porto

We rode with Anselmo on May 15. We had a great time. We had already explored at lot of the old city on foot for a couple of days and were pleased that Anselmo’s plan was to visit other areas. Also we were nervous about having to negotiate biking in the heavy traffic in old city, so were relieved when we didn’t have to. Anselmo was thoughtful in judging our ability to handle some of the terrain (read:steep hills). He seemed to judge us capable because he challenged us with some steep hills! But he also told us he would adjust the tour according to our wishes/comfort/ability. We enjoyed going down some quiet back streets that we wouldn’t have found on our own and Anselmo added a lot of interesting history and commentary. We particularly enjoyed biking across the bridge to Gaia. Great view from that height. Visiting the public laundry washing building where people were washing sheets and rugs in granite tanks was very interesting.
Helmets provided. Bikes in good shape.

Anselmo did a fabulous job creating an amazing experience for my family. We left a little earlier than 9 am to beat the rush of other tourists and he look us wine tasting to two different wineries, each of which has great wine and fantastic views. He even arranged for a cake to be served with our lunch in celebration of my mom’s 80th birthday. We are so grateful for the time and care he put into making our experience so memorable. During our time in Portugal, he was the best tour guide we had, and we went on several tours using Withlocals and others. Blown away

We are four ladies who had the most lovely day with Anselmo in the Duoro valley. The countryside is just beautiful and worth the drive from Porto, and we felt like celebrities having a private port tasting in a stunning vineyard. Anselmo had thoughtfully brought us local pastries as a snack to accompany the port. Anselmo took great care of us, a very special day and we all thoroughly recommend Anselmo and this tour.Vineyard adventure

Anselmo’s bike tour was everything we could have hoped for. He did a great job of taking us through some back streets we NEVER would have gone and we saw some cool things. He took us on a route few get to see in the beautiful town of Porto Portugal. His knowledge and love of his life's town was just fantastic and heartfelt. Anselmo is also a very fun and likable guy so we enjoyed our time with him. We also appreciated going for a taste of port in a place no other tourists go. Felt very authentic. All in all 5 stars. Cheers Amazing and fun!
