I was born and bred in the city of Madrid, as well as my parents and grandparents. It's as local as it gets! I have been host since 2017 and I love welcoming new people into my beautiful city, as well as sharing all about culture and lifestyle. To me, food is a perfect way of reuniting, celebrating and bringing joy to other people, that's why it's one of my biggest passions.

Ari was knowledgeable, personable, and a joy to be with for this food tour. The food selections were perfect, we left feeling satisfied, full and content. She gave us background on Madrid around the tour including history and interesting tidbits. She was wonderful!! I would recommend her without hesitation. Ari was awesome!

Ari was an absolute delight to spend time with! She shared so much fascinating history about Madrid, which gave us a deeper appreciation for the city. Her passion for her hometown truly shines—you can tell she’s a proud Madrileña! She was incredibly informative and made the experience so much fun. We only wish we had more time with her. Ari is so amazing! We had a beautiful afternoon tasting delicious bites & learning about the city. Every place we visited was so good & such different selections. I told her in advance I didn't drink alcohol, so she modified our experience to fit my needs.Fantastic!

What a lovely day! Ari loves her city and shared it with us over three perfect (and filling!) hours. She explained some history, guided us to local and authentic places to eat, and was just a pleasure to spend a few hours with. My 12 year old daughter and I had a wonderful time. I wish I had know that she hosts cooking classes with her grandmother! That would have been amazing!Wonderful tour and tasting with Ari!!

If you're new to Spain, I can't recommend this experience enough! Sure, if you're an outsider, you'll likely be tempted to spend your time hitting up Madrid's many museums -- which are great, don't get me wrong. But, you can't forget to live or, more accurately, cook as Spaniards do. As a (mostly) U.S.-raised person with family from Madrid (among other places in Spain), I can attest that my experience with Ariadna and Antonia was a delightful, two-hours-ish slice of Spanish life. When I was a young boy my Spanish grandmother did the cooking and, well, all I did was savor the dishes... and take a nap afterwards. But here, my wife and I had the wonderful experience of watching (and learning) while Ariadna and her charming grandmother Antonia made a magnificent paella dish before our eyes. Yes, of course, the food was top-notch, but the real icing on the cake was to see the marvelous interaction of two ebullient, funny, and warm women as they made made culinary magic before our eyes. The conversation over "la comida" between all four of us was refreshing and fun, to boot. In short, my time with Ariadna and Antonia was an experience I won't soon forget; I hope it's as much of a blast for you and yours as it was for my wife and me. A really wonderful experience!

Our first full day in Madrid! Ari was such an amazing host. We have traveled through Europe and this was our first visit to Madrid. She was kind, easy to follow, and so personable - we highly recommend her for any of her tours! She loves her home town of Madrid and knows her local dining and shops! Thank you, Ariadna! You made our first day so memorable! Ari is the best, we loved our 10 tastings!

We have done a food tour before using With Locals when we were in Rome so chose the same company again when visiting Madrid. Ariadna was the best tour guide we could have hoped for. Really knowledgeable, friendly, relaxed and interesting - my 12 year old son had a fantastic time eating everything! A great mixture of local history and food combined. Would not hesitate in recommending this company to anyone else and definitely book Ari as she is fabulous. An amazing tour with wonderful Ariadna!
