I love my country, which is an intangible mosaic of scenic nature, blended customs, year old history,blured ethnic borders and remarkable traditions infused with ever changing climate.

The flora - fauna and the wild life, sparkling sea and sandy beaches along with true hospitality is the greatest human trait which makes my Sri Lanka outstanding among others.

Beyond the customary rice and curry, our cuisines boast an array of delectable short eats, snacks and desserts which truely are a testament to the fusion of global food influences that have left their mark on our island.

Enjoing variety of meals full of tastes brought out with numerous spices makes our food special among others. Fried in fragrant coconut oil, fermented, baked, roasted, or steamed – our snacks are a symphony of flavors and textures. Each bite tells a story, echoing the footsteps of those who visited, traded, or even invaded Sri Lanka, leaving behind a delicious legacy in our local snacks.

I am eagerly waiting to share these with non natives and make that legacy passes down through my guests who now visit Sri Lanka as travellers.

We had a great Kandy City Tour with Buddhima. We met her on time at the predefined meeting place. She took us for a walk through town. We visited Kandy Lake, the temple of tooth, the food market and she showed us hidden places like nice cafes. We had the chance to try exotic fruits and enjoy a King Coconut on the food market. Finally she took us to a place where locals have their lunch and we tried a large variety of Sri Lankan dishes. Many thanks for this unique experience!Kandy City Tour

We spent an excellent day with Buddhima exploring the sights and tastes of Kandy. Despite it being the busiest day of the year with it being the final day of the festival, Buddhima navigated us through it to some excellent eating spots trying the best kandy has to offer. She also catered to our two teenagers ensuring they were engaged throughout. A highly recommended day. A memorable and belly filling day!

Yesterday we did the 10-tastings foodtour with Buddhima in Kandy. We walked around the city and Buddhima could tell us a lot about Kandy and it's history. Meanwhile we ate a lot of great streetfood, it was a lot and it tastes so good! Buddhime really took time for us and we really enjoyed the evening. Delicious foodtour in Landy

Buddhima is a very attentive host. She showed us a very nice foodcourt and took us to the market and the oldest bakery in town. Her english is perfect, so we did not have to refrase a lot , this made it a very comfortabel experience.Attentive & experienced!

We thoroughly enjoyed our tour of Kandy with Buddhima. She was an outstanding guide. From our initial communications and meeting arrangements to the actual tour, the organization was perfect. She kindly accommodated our requests and patiently answered all our questions. As we had combined two tours we go to spend the whole day with her, we learnt all about the culture and history of the city, saw hidden gems off the beaten track and tasted the most delicious food and explored the local markets. Our street food tour with Buddhima was wonderful. Buddhima is so lovely, generous and knowledgeable, it was like spending the evening with a good friend. Buddhima introduced us to lots of different foods, answered all our many questions, and shared so much about life in Sri Lanka. She also gave us some great tips for the rest of our trip. If we return to Kandy we would definitely do the tour again - there is always more food to discover - and we would recommend Buddhima as a guide without hesitation.Holiday Highlight!

Buddhima is incredible. We throughly enjoyed our time with her. She is so knowledgeable and clearly has a passion for her work and her country. We were a family with young children and allergy concerns. Buddhima flawlessly navigated children and allergies， which allowed for a wonderful experience. We had a really fun street food experience led by Buddhima! Firstly, she speaks very good English and she really takes her time for you. The Sri Lankan food was very tasty and what we ate was also explained very well by Buddhima. She even took time for us to finish with a drink. In short, a successful tour!Nice experience with a professional guide!
