Hello everyone! My name is Carlos Hernan. I've lived in Paris for the past 19 years. I went to music school in the US. In Paris, the most beautiful city in the world, I give recitals with my piano compositions. I love French culture and I am passionate about history. My surroundings inspire me constantly. I frequently go to the opera, art exhibitions and other cultural events. I love a good meal with a glass of red wine. Always happy to meet new people, I enjoy very much a good conversation especially if it's about history, music or art. I speak four languages fluently: French, English, Spanish and Italian. With you I will share all that I know about the local history and many anecdotes that will make our tour a very unique experience.

Carlos was a joy to meet and such an added experience in Paris that we won’t forget. We talked about many different things regarding living and working in Paris. He was very knowledgeable about history and showed us many places we wouldn’t have gone to or even noticed, like the original wall, had we just been walking on our own. Carlos was a perfect guide. He showed me all the most interesting places in Marais, from Victor Hugo’s dwelling place to the Picasso Museum and very modern galleries. His enthusiasm and his broad knowledge in art history and architecture was really overwhelming and inspiring. This was my second guided tour in Paris with him and I am so grateful for his tours. Carlos gave my daughter and me a fantastic 2.5-hour walking tour through Paris that we’ll never forget. He was warm, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable — pointing out historical details and hidden gems we would’ve missed on our own. What really stood out was how kind and patient he was with my 8-year-old daughter, Sloane. He answered all her questions, matched her pace, and made her feel included every step of the way. Carlos was my guide to see Notre Dame. It was easy to meet him there, since he was attentive and responsive to texts. He was very helpful and thoughtful in making it easy for me to navigate the crowds on my mobility scooter. He taught me a lot about Notre Dame’s history and restoration. He explained the artwork in all the chapels and even sat with me to pray for a few minutes in front of the Crown of Thorns. I couldn’t have asked for a more thorough or interesting tour! Carlos was prompt,thoughtful,knowlegeable.

This is the first time we’ve ever booked a private tour guide, and the experience was fantastic. Carlos was funny, knowledgeable, personable, and patient. It was more like touring the city with a good friend that knows a lot about the city that he loves. If/when e ever return to Paris, we will definitely book with Carlos again. I can’t recommend Carlos enough. Amazing day!We had the BEST time with Carlos

Carlos has a broad experience in all fields of music, opera and ballet but also in art history and architecture. He was a brilliant guide so that I could profit from his guided opera tour immensely. I would have never thought that I could get so much most interesting information by such a tour.Very competent guide

Carlos is an excellent tour guide who has passion for sharing bis knowledge and experience guiding you around Paris. We concentrated on the Louvre and a touch of Palais Du Royal. His pace was laid back and easy going. He was on time and met at the location he selected.Excellent Guide

We’re an older couple and because this was the first of four Withlocals tours, we were worried about the pace. But Carlos adapted perfectly and let us rest when needed. We got a good overview of the Marais along with a great recommendation and reservation for our early dinner. He planned the tour so we ended up at the restaurant. Perfedt pace
