Hi, I’m Caroline, a music-loving, hiking enthusiast who loves soup curry and local history, I've called Japan home since 2018. I've lived in both Sapporo and Osaka, and I know the ins and outs of both cities, so whether you're looking for hidden scenic spots, live music venues, or spicy food gems, I've got you covered.

I speak Japanese fluently and work in fully Japanese-speaking environments when I'm not tour-guiding, which means I can unlock real local experiences that most visitors miss. I’m also passionate about animals, love going on day hikes, countryside trips, rollercoasters, and I get around on rollerskates when I can!

Before moving to Japan, I studied literature at university and worked in publishing, then transitioned into the charity sector, where I supported people experiencing homelessness, something I still care deeply about and volunteer for in Japan.

I'm a massive music nerd, a drummer, bassist, and I dabble in making electronic music too. I’m always tuned into the local live music scene, from jazz to noise and everything in between. If there's an interesting gig happening, I’ll know about it.

I'm also fascinated by Japanese and Ainu history, especially the unique stories of Hokkaido, and I love sharing those insights on walks and day trips. Whether you're here for culture, nature, music, or just great local food, I’d love to show you a different side of Japan.
