Hi, hello, ciao, salve, buongiorno :)

My name is Chiara, but you can call me Chiarù (chiara is such a popolar name in Italy).

I was born in Genoa, eating focaccia and pesto in front of the sea. But because I am an archaeologist, I decided to move to Rome, now more than 10 years ago. So I now consider myself an adopted Roman.

I love walking with friends from all over the world and showing the most authentic side of the city.

With me you will discover stories of Rome that you won't find in history books: we will walk through the lesser known streets and discover hidden gems.

Because I am a food archaeologist, I can immerse you in the history of Italian cuisine and how each person who reached our country brought something to our tables and recipes.

Plus, I teach Italian online to foreigners: so I can help you the basics of surviving for Rome.

Chiara was such a gem - patient and gave us info about areas we visited. Street food is such an amazing way to discover the city! Also love that we visited local sustainable places compared to chains. Food was very good. Most memorable for us was the fried artichoke and graffe *chef’s kiss* Had the most extraordinary experience when a seagull stole a meatball!! Hahahaha was such a laugh!Chiara was such a gem

Our guide, Chiara, was very friendly and had the right pace for the day. She answered our questions and kept us moving, but did not feel rushed. We liked that she focuses on local establishments (not chains) and has relationships with local vendors. The market was great to explore (Clare gave us time to shop, too!) and we loved seeing the restaurant's wine cellar. I liked that this tour spent more quality time in a particular area, rather than running around trying to see all the attractions. I would recommend this tour to others as a great way to get to know a neighborhood that is a bit off the beaten tourist track in Romegood way to explore the Testaccio area

Chiara was a wonderful guide - personable, knowledgable, and allowed us to experience the food authentically and completely without judgement. She is clearly very passionate about the food, but at the same time had a very unbiased and objective perspective about italian culture and history, which I appreciated. This isn't my first trip to Italy, so I wasn't sure how much new information I would learn, but I actually learned a lot of new and interesting tidbits as part of the tour, while also trying some of the highest quality, carefully curated foods around Rome. I'm so glad to have kicked off my trip with this tour, because now I can continue the rest of my trip with valuable recommendations and learningsChiara was a wonderful guide

I took a tour with Chiara, and what can I say: five stars and above! Not only did she create a custom tour for me, but she really went out of her way to make sure I had not just an experience but a quality time with a friend. Her knowledge of history and food (she is a food archaeologist!) is outstanding! She made me see Rome with new eyes, and made me live like a true Roman. I've fallen so in love with the culture, I'm going to take Italian and Italian culture classes with her! I cannot recommend Chiara enough. I look forward to more adventures with her. exceptional experience! It's food, culture and physical activity all in one-the perfect mix on vacation. Our guide, Chiara, was very well informed and very passionate about sharing the foods and traditions of Rome, and Testaccio in particular. We actually did another really memorable tour with her five years ago in Prati and it was a real pleasure to reconnect on this trip!the best way to explore the neighborhood

This was the PERFECT food tour! We got to have so much food AND wine! No skimping on the wine either. Chiara was an amazing tour guide! I felt like I was being guided by a friend. She was awesome and we had the best time! Everything was so good. We also never had to wait and everything was perfectly paced. We weren’t rushed and got to truly enjoy everything. I would do this exact tour again. The supplì was so good!! I highly recommend doing this tour! Great for foodies and they even make accommodations for dietary restrictions!an amazing food tour

Absolutely amazing! Chiara - our wonderful host and guide - aswered all of our questions, no matter if it was about hidden historical landmarks she showed us along the tour, about the DELICIOUS food we tried all night, or even personal questions about Chiara, herself. This tour is an absolute necessity to find local, true Roman cuisine and wil be a highlight of your trip. basically, the tour is just as full as your stomachs will be by then end of it allAbsolutely amazing!

This is a very informative food tour going to sustainable bars and restaurants. Our guide was Ciara and she was exceptional. She knew the area well and was very well known by the places we went. We visited six locations where we had organic sparkling wine, a fried rice ball with a surprise inside, bruschetta, Jewish artichoke and Bucatini Amatriciana and finally incredible gelato. We were not hungry at the end. Wine was served at three of the stops and all were very good. This was our second Devour tour and we will tour with them anytime we are in a city where they operate. Overall a five star experience.food and wine in trastevere
