Darko

Dear visitors, my name is Darko, I've been in love with Croatia since the first day of my life and my goal is to pass that love to You.

I was born and raised in Split, pearl of the Mediterranean sea and since forever I am fascinated by history, culture and nature. At the beginning of my career I worked in Croatian national theater and in Split city museum as an official tour guide and that experience with knowledge I got from my older colleagues helped me a lot and gave me a big impulse in becoming freelancer.

Today my full time job is producer of cultural events but my true passion is tour guiding.

As I am scuba diver, hiker and big fan of football, I incorporate all those hobbies and knowledge in my tours.

We had a wonderful tour with Darko today. He was very informative and funny and very friendly. He showed us some amazing local spots we would not have been able to find on our own while also providing historical background of the city. Highly recommend!!Great way to start split!

We had a fantastic few hours with Darko in Split learning about the local history and also Croatia. A lovely look through the highlights of Diocletian’s Palace before our first tasting of ten!! The food stops were all wonderful local gems and certainly didn’t disappoint. Darko also explained the history in a unique way due to his vast knowledge. He made it interesting and dynamic. We had a great food tour with Darko. He is incredibly passionate about Split and it’s history and he is very friendly and easy going. We would definately recommend getting to know the city and some typical foods via this tour and we highly recommend DarkoGreat food tour, great guide

Darko was very welcoming to our small group of 6. He always only books small groups. He had a lot of historical info for us and toured us throughout the old town of Split. We were brought to venues that specialized in local delicacies as we weaved our way through the city. Most off the beaten track. He even shared recipes of some of the foods we loved! Would definitely recommend this tour! Fantastic evening!

Darko was very friendly, knowledgeable about all areas and questions asked, excellent with communication leading up to tour, flexible with changes we wanted to make and extremely accommodating I would highly recommend him! He also coordinated a driver for us whom was also friendly and did a great job. We felt safe and van was clean. Krka national park was incredible! Excellent Guide

Darko was a brilliant tour guide, we couldn’t have asked for more! It was brilliant to learn about how history has defined Split’s food and culture, and Darko made sure to source genuine Croatian food throughout. Doing the tour at lunchtime meant we didn’t have to buy lunch either! Highly recommendA brilliant experience

We had an amazing tour with Darko in the Diocletian Palace. Our family has a difficult time on a group tour due to our adult son being in a wheelchair and grandparents with mobility concerns. We booked a private tour with Darko and it was perfect. He came prepared to work with our limitations and had routes planned for us that avoided stairs. He knows and loves Split and was even able to adapt the tour as he was able to sense specific areas of interest from our group. Super fun to do. Darko was our guide thr first day we were in Split. This was a great way to get the layout of the area so we could explore the following days. Would recommend this tour and having Darko as your guide. Darko is great!
