I am a graphic and industrial designer, born and bred in Lisbon, half german, quarter ucranian and quarter portuguese (to simplify!). Curiously, I don't speak ucranian. But try me out in german, english or french. Lisbon is my city; I love it, with all its faults and scars, and wouldn't trade it for any city in the world (except, maybe, Cologne, but that's a completely different story; ask me, if we ever meet!).

Even if we don't meet, here's a first hot tip about Lisbon: when flying to Lisbon, ALWAYS ask for a window seat on the left of the plane.

Wir hatten eine sehr schöne Tour durch die Altstadt Lissabons! Super, dass sie in unserer eigenen Sprache stattfinden konnte und trotzdem so authentisch war. David hat uns einige Insider-Tricks gezeigt, wie man schneller in die höher gelegenen Viertel kommt - das hätten wir ohne ihn nie herausgefunden. Außerdem hat er ein unglaubliches Detail-Wissen, was man merkt, wenn man gezielt Fragen stellt. Auch die Tipps, die er uns gegeben hat bez. Besichtigungen waren sehr hilfreich! Our walking tour with David was great! David’s knowledge of Lisbon, Portugal, and frankly world history as it relates to Portugal, was off the charts. He provided us with some great tips relative to navigating the steep hills connecting the neighborhoods (wished we’d known that BEFORE we trudged one of the hills!) and some great tips overall. He even followed up with some great photos and links to restaurants post-tour. This is our first experience using Withlocals and we are very pleased. We will be back! Thank you. David was very accommodating starting off the tour by giving us options to ensure we got what we wanted out of our experience. We then began at a relaxed pace walking through neighbourhoods and areas we would’ve never found by ourselves with the added historical information from David’s extensive knowledge. David was also great in talking openly about what life is like living in Lisbon which we also enjoyed. The length of the tour was ideal ending in LX Factory which we could then explore by ourselves for the afternoon. Friendly and very knowledgeable
