Deffrey was on time, courteous and a great food/walking tour guide . He showed us interesting parts of Georgetown we would not have known about & he introduced us to some delicious local food. I would not hesitate booking Deffrey as our guide again.Excellent Guide

From the word go, Deffrey was great to communicate with and tailored to our request of wanting to experience a more authentic, rural adventure of Penang Island.
We could not have asked for more. The entire day from cycling through villages, rice paddies, monkeys, farms and coast line, exploring the Chinese fishing villages and experiencing local cafe culture, to our hike through Penang National Park to beautiful beaches and back was awesome!
Deffrey is a great guy, warm and easy to be around. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Penang!Fantastic experience of Penang Island

We had the most lovely day touring George Town with Deffrey who was so sweet, informative and charming. Great choices of places visited, he was very knowledgeable and gave us time to go at our own pace with no rush or pressure. He chose a fantastic place for lunch which was full of locals and picked several delicious dishes for us to eat. Finished off with a visit to an ice cream shop where we cooled down and had shaved coconut ice, which we highly recommend, not just the coconut ice but Deffrey and his tour. Deffran is a great tour guide

This was our 2nd fantastic walking tour in Malaysia “Withlocals” Deffrey sent us a detailed, tailored itinerary based off his expertise the day before our tour.
He picked us up from our hotel and drove us to all the sights on the list (a much welcomed aid given the nature of a busy city traffic wise).
Deffrey’s knowledge of his home town was fantastic and mixed with pleasant conversation the sights, food, stories and sounds made for a fantastic introduction to Penang.
I would thoroughly recommend Deffrey to anyone visiting Penang.A day with Deffrey in Georgetown

Deffrey is a brilliant guide, we had previously been to Penang, so had already seen some of the highlights, Deffrey was so flexible and accommodating, it also rained (extreme) so he rescheduled to get us to an indoor venue out of the worst of the weather, and waited until the cloud lifted so we got the view from Penang Hill. Lunch was fabulous, at a restaurant we probably would have overlooked. I would highly recommend Deffrey, and would definitely choose him as a guide if we return to Penang. Thank you Deffrey 😊 Brilliant

Deffrey is a nice;knowledgeable and friendly tour guide:) Even though our tour schedule got delayed at first; but Deffrey makes sure that we can go to all the places as planned.A few wonderful highlights are definitely the cable car ride to Penang Hill where we get to enjoy the full view of the whole Penang as well as feeling the nice cold breeze💨while up on hill. Other places that I really enjoyed would be the Clan jetty where we get to see the entire sea view and learn more about their history & heritage.Also; the street arts located along the streets of Penang are a joy to marvel at as it makes the place much more vibrant & livelier.Overall; if you are a first timer coming to Penang and want a quick tour without a hassle;I would highly recommend Deffrey as your tour guide as he can make your day a delightful one😃👍⭐Good day nice weather:)

Deffrey was very responsive and easy to communicate with. So much so, that it was the reason we chose him .
We were very comfortable traveling with him. We made last minute changes. Deffrey did not have a rigid timeline nor agenda. It was our trip and he made everything happen to our utmost satisfaction.
It was almost like having a family member showing his relatives his special places.
We have traveled extensively in Asia , Europe, and the US. He is truly exceptional.Excellent!

We think that overall, a half day tour may have suited us better. Towards the end the heat had taken its toll and our energy levels were low. It was obvious that Deffrey was trying hard - his car was clean and cool, he provided water and even brought along an assistant to help with the navigating and logistics. He was efficient, getting us from point A to point B with a minimum of fuss. He had a lot of tidbits about things as we went around. We just didn't feel the personality connection that elevates a tour to greatness.Deffrey tried really hard

My husband and I toured Penang with Deffrey our first day here and it was a great way to see everything, learn about the local culture, and eat some delicious food. Highly recommend him as a guide! Bonus points because he followed up by sending me some recommendations for our remaining days in Georgetown!
He also took some good pictures of us, which was very appreciated.Great way to see alll the key places

We enjoyed our day out in Penang with Deffrey. He showed us all the major sites in one fun day - since the weather was hot, I doubt we would have covered so much on our own. Deffrey knows all the shortcuts and timed things beautifully so we missed the crowds. Thanks for a great day Deffrey!Great day out with Deffrey
