Hi!

I am Elena, one of the last remaining venetian living on this Island.

Me, my husband, my daughters and our dogs are trying, as much as possible, to keep and preserve our tradition and our history by choosing to stay and live in Venice.

When it comes to legends and stories I can get a little nerdy, in fact I have a degree in History of the Republic of Venice, that can be quite handy, considering my job!!

Let me take you to the secrets and most beautiful parts of this magic place that I call HOME.

We had an absolutely fantastic experience on our tour with Elena. We wanted to better understand the history of this beautiful city. She was incredibly knowledgeable about everything past and present. She has lived in Venice her entire life so is able to share so much more from her personal experiences than you might learn on audio or group tours. Elena is warm and engaging. Our family of 5 (3 teenagers) had the pleasure of Elena's company for a couple of hours on our first day in Venice. She was such a great guide with a wealth of knowledge about Venice, it's history and the people. She told us lots of great stories that captured the kids attention. She was smart to limit the walking as it was the end of a long, hot day so we were all pretty tired. But we still got to see an area of Venice we would have never explored. Being from Venice, Elena has great insight into local life. For example, her family owns a gondola & she is teaching her own kids to operate it. If I ever get back to Venice I would love to take another tour with Elena - she should be first on your list of people to call too! Elena was amazing! Her knowledge of the history of the Jewish people in Venice was superb and she brought the past and present to light with her stories and her personal touch. We were all riveted the entire time. The best guide we could have hoped for (and we are discriminating)!!Even better than we could have hoped for!

We had a marvellous afternoon with Elena. She is friendly, enthusiastic and extremely knowledgeable about both history and general life in Venice. I have been to Venice at least twenty times before, but I learned so much new about Venice from Elena. I will definitely book another tour with her when I come back to Venice (which I certainly will). An enthusiastic storyteller

Our day trip with passionate Venetian Elena was so much more than we had hoped for. The visit to Burano and Murano were fantastic and so fascinating. Elena was the perfect guide; when are ferry got delayed, she immediatley offered to meet us at a different starting place, and was there before we got off the ferry. She was engaging and full of stories of the history of Venice. She was engaging from start to finish. We truly enjoyed our time with her and would highly recommend her to anyone visiting Venice. Elena was absolutely amazing! She incorporated our interests in the tour. She is born and raised in Venice so has a first hand knowledge of the history, lifestyle and culture. Elena is a great storyteller and extremely engaging. Plus, she is a native with a worldview having left the city before. So she understands the nuances of being a Venetian and looking at the city through the lens of a tourist! She was also very informative, we had a great time, in spite of the December winter cold. She was also good with answering questions from my tween/ teenager and made sure we were comfortable whilst walking. I had studied The Merchant of Venice for literature - and Elena gave me the 101 on the key places mentioned in the book and even took us on a Traghetto boat ride! Highly recommend if you're looking to discover more about Venice through the eyes of a Venetian. Best way to immerse in Venice history!
