My name is Elvina. I have a Bachelor degree in International Tourism Management.

As a tour guide, I go beyond the typical tourist paths to show you the real essence of the city. Unlike traditional guides, I don't overwhelm with history. I do share historical insights, but my focus is on Dutch culture, local life, language, local food and drinks and showing both highlights and local gems to make your experience in Amsterdam so special.

Traveling and learning about new cultures are my passions. Been to 54 countries. Not surprisingly, I became a tour guide in Amsterdam to show it to the city guests and share my love for Amsterdam and knowledge about Dutch culture.

We wanted someone to show us around the less-travelled NSDM area of Amsterdam. Elvina a was just great, had a good knowledge of the area and we really enjoyed our time. She was patient as we wandered through the museum and then directed us to a great restaurant and suggested a number of dishes to try. Ever helpful, on our departure, she suggested a number of places in central Amsterdam to eat and drink - and she was right, the one we made it to was wonderful. We made a very last minute booking with Elvina and we are glad we did! Elvina showed us many interesting sites, and gave us lots of interesting information we had not yet heard about. She also took us to some favorite local establishments for us to purchase their popular fare, and was very concerned with our safety throughout the tour. Fun morning!Interesting & Fun Tour

Elvina met with us at short notice and the weather was awful, very wet and windy, however despite this she was friendly and cheerful. Our walk through the red light district was interesting and informative with a welcome pit stop halfway round for traditional Dutch apple pie. We definitely learnt some interesting facts about life in Amsterdam and Elvina was very knowledgeable, despite the weather it was enjoyable.Very wet & windy walk

Elvina showed us the well known buildings and neighborhoods, but also provided fun facts and hidden details about the city. We saw things we would not find on our own. She kept us safe from car and bicycle traffic. A great experience overall!A Personalized Tour!

We got it all! Red light dirstict, old historical buildings, canals, stroopewaffles, holocaust memorials, windmills, parks, zoo, local ice cream and beer tasting! Elvina listened to our requests, and adapted to our wants. She was informative and conversational, we loved our tour.Great tour of Amersterdam!

Elvina was a great host. She took my Mom and I across the city and answered our questions. She made sure we were safe around the bikes in the city and had a soft side that was friendly and welcoming. We talked about our home countries throughout the tour and had enjoyable conversation throughout. I would recommend Elvina for a tour!Sweet guide will show you Amsterdam
