My name is Elvina. I have a Bachelor degree in International Tourism Management.

As a tour guide, I go beyond the typical tourist paths to show you the real essence of the city. Unlike traditional guides, I don't overwhelm with history. I do share historical insights, but my focus is on Dutch culture, local life, language, local food and drinks and showing both highlights and local gems to make your experience in Amsterdam so special.

Traveling and learning about new cultures are my passions. Been to 54 countries. Not surprisingly, I became a tour guide in Amsterdam to show it to the city guests and share my love for Amsterdam and knowledge about Dutch culture.

Elvina was super punctual and in fact was waiting for me, and I was 5 mins early. I had someone else take me through the city earlier and booked the Red Light District tour with Elvina. She was super knowledgeable about the history and new the area really well. Guided me though the are explaining how things worked and more importantly the culture and dos and don't when it comes to the Red Light district. Very educational and I enjoyed the tour. I would highly recommend Elvina if you are looking for someone to show you around Amsterdam. An awesome tour guide and host

I did a 5 hour walking hour with Elvina and it honestly felt like much longer. Elvina is patient even prior to our tour and accommodated all the changes I had to make. I saw so many places, learnt so many things and ate the most delicious apple pie. She share alot of information in a clear, systematic and witty manner at an eas pace which I really loved. She constantly checked on me to see if I needed anything. I laughed alot with her and she helped to take very nice photos which I most grateful for. I literally passed many houses with little secrets which I now know about, thanks to Elvina. There were also a couple of surprise locations. At the end of our tour, Elvina recommended more places to get delicious food. I am really glad I took this tour with Elvina. 5 hour walking tour with Elvina

Elvina provided my wife and I a wonderful tour of Amsterdam. We’ve been there twice before but only did our own self-guided tours of the city. Elvina showed us parts of the city we hadn’t seen before and shared with us a lot of the rich history of Amsterdam. She also took us to some delightful culinary stops. Great tour! Elvina took our lead as we expressed that we preferred less touristy areas and more genuine neighbourhoods and experiences. We loved the Plantage area with all its greenery and plant life, the brewery and the holocaust memorial.

We had a lovely tour of Amsterdam with our tour guide Elvina. We had never taken a "Withlocals" type of tour before. The experience of being shown around Amsterdam on a private tour with someone who did not deliver a rehearsed speech was our favorite outing in Amsterdam. Elvina made us feel like we were old friends of hers visiting her in Amsterdam. She took us to interesting places with lovely stories and asked us entertaining questions to include us in the tour experience. We would highly recommend her for a fun, informative, personalized walking tour of Amsterdam. Our next trip abroad will definitely kick off with a WithLocals tour!
