Emanuele is a wonderful guide. We were in Rome for five nights, and we spent time with him for three of them. He showed us marvelous gems that were not crawling with tourists, and is super knowledgeable about Roman history and art. He planned special surprises for our 15 year old son -- including the Capuchin Crypt, a super-creepy crypt decorated with thousands of bones that is definitely worth a visit. He showed us a Michelangelo sculpture of Moses that is an absolute masterpiece in the Basilica of San Pietro in Vincoli, and countless other surprises. He took great care of my 80 year old mother-in-law and made sure that she was not getting too tired on the walks. For part of the tour, we drove around Rome in his car, and we would park and get out and walk a bit, which was a great way to really experience more of the city. Highly recommended.Wonderful guide

This tour took me to all four papal basilicas in Rome. The date was a bit nutty because it was the Jubilee, but my guide Angelica dealt with chaos calmly and intelligently. The basilicas are all stunning, and you really get a sense of how the Catholic church instilled awe in the faithful with grand columns, imposing structures, and beautiful use of frescos and mosaics that depict the life of Christ and the saints for people in the past who were largely illiterate. Angelica knows so much about the buildings and she speaks perfect English (although I requested the tour in Italian), and spending the day with her learning about the history of the basilicas and chatting was a true pleasure. The day ended with dinner with Angelica and Emmanuele at an authentic Roman restaurant outside the Centro Storico, with no tourists to be found. The food and wine were delicious, and I had a great time talking to both of them. If you are interested in learning about and seeing the magnificent papal basilicas of Rome, I guarantee you this is the best way to do it. Wear comfortable shoes, though, because you will do a lot of walking.Beautiful basilicas with a fantastic guide

Our tour guide was very knowledgeable about Roman history. I particularly appreciated the explanation of the origins of the city and the development and planning of the city through time. He was able to achieve this thanks to the fact that he will drive you around, especially on the several hills surrounding the city, where you can get a clear understanding of the development through the years. The tour was custom made according to our requests, and he also added lots of insider facts and locations which are not shown on general tours. The whole experience is very comfortable, and you will most probably also stop for a coffee or have small bite at some local not touristy place. I highly recommend this tour.Excellent tour

We absolutely can not imagine a better tour experience than the one we had with Emanuele!!! A true local of Roman descent, Emanuele was PASSIONATE, KNOWLEDGEABLE, SOLICITOUS, ACCOMMODATING, and all in all, just a wonderful person to be with! We had a list of our must do items when we were in Rome which we sent to him, and he was continually in contact working out the schedule to make sure it was exactly as we wanted. During our tour, it was very apparent that the enjoyment of our experience was of upmost importance to him. We are so grateful we picked Emanuele for our tour guide! We left Rome with so much knowledge and Iove for this amazing city, so many memories, and a new friend!LOOK NO FURTHER!! 5⭐️!!!

Ciao Amici, I know many of you are eager to check off the dozen or so items that mark a trip to Rome. But…there is definitely room to take a historical tour of the city center from the viewpoint of a traveler of the last half of the 19th century. The artists that you’ve come to Rome to experienced have also accomplished great works all over the city, and the city itself has changed, as it has done so many times, reinvigorating itself for new generations while preserving historically that which should not be changed. I asked Emanuele questions about the past, the present, and possibly, what is the future. I think you will certainly enjoy his breadth of knowledge, his clear delivery, and his gracious manner as you learn about a part of Rome which is very dear to him and which will likewise become dear to you with your improved understanding. We were very charmed, as a bonus, to have the opportunity to view a church on Vatican ground. have also greatly enjoyed a book he shared with me, which he has written, containing information and drawings of the much-beloved historical monuments in Rome. I myself am a writer, and I truly am enjoying this novel little book. A delightful educational stroll

I have been on many tours of Rome and throughout the world, and this tour stood out to me as far more superior than other tours. First, our tour guides had an incredibly deep knowledge of their city and country. Emanuele and his son were professional, clear, and most importantly passionate about their hometown. Passion makes the difference and you can see it and hear it in their stories. I felt as if my good friends were touring me around their wonderful city. Next, if you have seen the main attractions, such as the Vatican, the Coliseum, etc etc, then you can customize and they will get you to some of the most interesting sites that you would typical miss on a large tour. Lastly, you gain a perspective of the Italian culture throughout the tour with a quick espresso stop and other fun stops. Thank you so much for the everlasting memory for my son and I. We will cherish it forever. The Best Tour of my Life!

Emanuel was our guide and was awesome, his knowledge, professionalism and kindness were great. He guided us to different places with a deep explanation of the history related to each one. Con mia moglie, abbiamo passato una stupenda giornata con Emanuele in una visita alle chiese di Roma ed alle Terme di Caracalla. Emanuele ci ha edotto su aspetti della Roma antica, veramente poco noti, come le acque che arrivavano a Roma attraverso i vari acquedotti, interrotti dai barbari invasori e ripristinati solo nei secoli successivi. Anche nella visita alle chiese la nostra guida è stata molto esauriente nelle spiegazioni e nei dettagli. Abbiamo imparato moltissimo e ci siamo personalmente trovati a nostro agio come se avessimo trascorso una giornata con un amico, appassionato di Roma e di profonda e raffinata cultura.visita privata con Emanuele del 25/01/2025
