We had a great food tour of Pisa with Emma who adapted it to suit a gluten free participant in our group and small children. We learned some interesting history and explored the lesser beaten streets of Pisa which is more than just the leaning tower. It also enabled us to go to places and taste food we wouldn’t normally have chosen had we been on our own, a real bit of Pisa. Highly recommend and we have great memories. Grazie Emma !Interesting and adapted food tour
Emma was very knowledgable, great company and interesting to spend time with. Really friendly and made us feel at ease immediately. We wandered the sites and took in all the sounds and flavours of the city. We visited restaurants, cafes, bars, wines bars and gelatos - most of which we wouldn’t have discovered for ourselves - some real hidden gems. We enjoyed each immensely and realised Emma had worked out our interests and took us to the places that best matched. Pisa can take a bit of working out. Save yourselves the hassle, book a tour with Emma.
Our food tour of Pisa with Emma
I'm from Los Angeles and Emma exposed us to local Pisa experiences. Our kids are still raving about the walk, the history, the food, and the wine. I highly recommend - this will be a highlight of your Italian experience. Far exceeded my expectations. Joe Marando, Burbank CA USABest tour
She was methodical and patient with 2 true beginners. We learned many useful phrases and how to conjugate verbs. Really enjoyed our 2 hours at Bar Monti! I can understand many conversations around me but still am somewhat shy to speak. Just need to practice more.Emma is magnificent!
Right from the beginning, Emma introduced us to the charm of the locals in Pisa. We tasted different wines, cheeses, drinks and other foods along the way while learning the history of Pisa. We travelled off the beaten path and were able to see the true beauty of this Tuscany city. A taste of Pisa
We had a wonderful time in Italy, but without a doubt, one of the highlights of our trip was the tour with Emma. Her food tour was not only steeped with Italian history and lessons in the language, but also on the local culture. Emma went above + beyond to personalize the experience based on our interests and preferences. It was a thoughtful tour through the citys culinary “landscape”, with a perfect balance of sweet + savory, w/ wine tasting, and visits to hidden gems we never would have found on our own. Yay!
Emma herself was a delight— she was outgoing, friendly, and effortlessly funny. She exudes a charm that is distinctly Italian, blending warmth + wit in a way that made us feel immediately at ease. Her humor was infectious, and her passion for sharing the local food and culture left us wanting more. It wasn’t just a tour; it felt like we were exploring with a friend; really! What A Time!
We really enjoyed our tour with Emma. It was a "down to earth" and authentic walk through parts of Pisa with snacks different places. We can only recommend this way of seeing parts of the city we would otherwise not have seen.A nice way to see Pisa
It was a couple of super interesting and especially tasty hours with Emma. She let us taste things, which we would never have discovered ourselves. Thanks again.A fantastic day!
Great time in Pisa
Emma,
The meal was very good catered to our southern Italian heritage, turns out Emma's family village was close to my wife's fathers village. We had a great conversation about food, Italy and family. I would recommend her to anyone who is looking for this type of experienceFamily Dinner
