We attended Francesca's for the evening meal. I had previously informed her that my wife had various intolerances to certain food and take that into consideration when preparing our menu. The food and her company were fantastic. I would highly recommend her to any person who would be considering a home meal cooked by a local.Great evening

Our dinner experience with Francesca was wonderful.. our communication right from the start was fantastic.. I expressed to francesca that I wanted to try plolenta something we have never tried .. with that in mind she planned a Traditional Milanese meal with love … we had polenta & Veal Osso Buco it was delicious & plentiful.. for starters she introduced us to to a cold Milanese antipasto which is hard to get in Milan restaurants it’s called Nervetti.. and for dessert she made a Milanese dessert called Sbrisolona..it’s like a almond crumb cake that is really crunchy & hard like a biscotti and home made vanilla ice cream .. Francesca had her sister Alexandria there with her assisting together we all dined and shared our food experience.. I wish I could have left photos of the food and presentation which all was beautiful.. we walked in with a hand shake and left with a hug .. thank you Francesca and Alexandria for a wonderful evening.Wonderful dinner Experience!

My group had an absolutely wonderful experience with Francesca's cooking class through With Locals. We chose to make risotto, scallopini, and caprese cake - and the entire experience exceeded our expectations. Francesca was a fantastic teacher who made the class both educational and fun. Her instructions were clear, and she created a warm, welcoming atmosphere that made us feel comfortable. The food we prepared was absolutely delicious, and we left with both full stomachs and valuable cooking skills to take home. The intimate setting allowed for personalized attention and created a memorable cultural connection that you simply can't get from a standard tourist experience. I highly recommend Francesca's cooking class to anyone visiting the area who wants an authentic, hands-on culinary experience. This was definitely a highlight of our trip!An Excellent Culinary Experience!

Francesca and her sister, Alexandra, created a wonderful morning cooking experience. I contacted Francesca a few weeks before my visit to Milan to ask for a class without dairy products. She was so accommodating and created exactly what I hoped for. We made a delicious Milanese style Pasta Fagioli with guanciale and Borlotti beans. I learned how to pound and prepare a traditional cutlet and best of all, I learned the secrets to preparing perfect lemon sorbeto.

Francesca and her sister were such amazing hosts. I loved learning about Milan and about the food local to this region. If I come back to Milan I would do this again on our next trip. The house and kitchen were very clean, the food was fresh, and the company was fun. If you want to watch a video of our experience look up “hey y’all come on in” on instagram or YouTube. Francesca was a friendly host, but we found the overall experience disappointing for the price that we paid. She made us a nice risotto to start and a very good tiramisu for dessert, but the main course of chicken marsala and potatoes was not so interesting. The bottle of wine that we were offered was nothing special and probably a rather inexpensive one. There was no fourth course of limoncello or liquor offered as advertised, but we did have a coffee. Visitors should also know that she has a dog which was lying on the couch while we were there. This may be fine for dog lovers, but the dog vomited a bit while we were eating, which was not so appetizing. It's probably best to put the dog in another room while offering this experience. For the price that we paid, we expected a higher level experience.Didn't meet expectations

We had a fantastic dinner with Francesca the day after our arrival in Milan. She is a talented cook so the food was superb and she very willingly worked with us to come up with a menu that we LOVED. But the evening was so much more than just the food. Francesca has a beautiful home, a wide variety of interesting experiences and speaks English extremely well. She is conversant on many topics, not the least of which was being a wealth of information about Italy and Milan. We peppered her with questions about where to go, what to see, how to get there, and she contributed so much to what has been a wonderful stay in Milan. It was truly making a new friend. It was our first experience doing something like this, but based on it will NOT be the last. I cannot recommend spending an evening with Francesca (and friends, we met her boyfriend and her brother) more highly!! You won’t be disappointed.Dine with a local, make a friend

Such a fun experience learning from Francesca and Alessandra! Francesca welcomed us into her home and the entire evening from start to finish was wonderful. My fiancé and I made pasta from scratch (very cool), scallopini and the best tiramisu! They shared stories and gave us some tips and tricks and we enjoyed the fruits of our labor with some delicious wine!
I’m excited to attempt to make this again back at home although I know it won’t be the same. Definitely recommend this experience. It is one we won’t forget. Grazie! Spectacular cooking experience!
