To make MY Budapest YOUR Budapest is what motivates me, and I just can't get tired of it. Though I have an international background -- born in Romania, raised in California -- Hungarian is my mother tongue and I've lived more years in Budapest now than in any other city.

Coming from journalism, I started working for Withlocals.com as a tour captain, designing some of the original Budapest tours. That's when I realized how uplifting it is to be a tour host, plus it's also about communications. So here I am.

Gabe was AWESOME, he knew the city like the back of his hand. Answered every question we had with more information than we could absorb. We felt we saw Budapest in the best way we possibly could. Gabor was amazing! Very informative and showed us parts of Budapest we would not have seen without his guidance. He also shared a lot of interesting stories that even captivated the teenagers. He was also very flexible, totally worth it!Worth It!

It was incredible to get to know Budapest through Gabor. He is very interested and embedded into the local cultural scene as well as very knowledgeable and passionate about his city and country. Our tour was focused on history and architecture and I think we only scratched the surface of Gabor's knowledge. Gabor was very respectful of our time, ensuring we were able to see the most important places in our limited time together. He even stayed with us an extra hour to allow us to see more.

Gabor was excellent at showing us the best of Budapest. Both the major sights and the subtle cultural and historical aspects of the city. He provided great recommendations and is full of knowledge. He is deliver and tailored his tours to our interests. We came away with a deeper understanding of the culture of this part of the world. We had a 3-hour walk with Gabor around Budapest and it was amazing. He asked us questions when he first met us to know what we preferred to hear about and throughout the walking tour he would modify his talk based on what we knew and what we still had to learn. It was a perfect morning. We heard about Hungarian history (and the history of all Central Europe) and he gave us specific notes about buildings and restaurants that was very helpful to understand the city. So fortunate to have experienced an amazing tour of Budapest! Wish we were here for more time to explore the other suggestions provided while touring. We enjoyed all the information and sights Gabor B shared with us. We were a group of 4 adults and after a few emails, and a short discussion when we met Gabor, he was able to tailor a walk for us. We went to areas we had not explored and also streets we had walked prior,— and didn’t realize the history we had just passed by.
