Welcome to Basel - the cultural capital of Switzerland and the city of museums!

I am a German-Israeli living in Basel with my little family.

I am a part-time tour guide in Basel, the Swiss Alps, and the Black Forest with about five years of experience and I have been loving every second of it.

Fascinating history, direct democracy, giant mountains, armed neutrality, and a myriad of Swiss German dialects, we have all of it here in the land of cows and chocolate!

We booked a few hours’ tour with Gil in Basel, and it was a wonderful experience. Gil was attentive to our special interests and designed a rout perfectly accommodating those. He showed impressive knowledge in history and culture, and also gave us insights about the ordinary life in the city, special festivals and habits. And the culinary side was not neglected as well. In short – highly recommended! highly recommended
