I love challenges and meeting new people, from different areas and upgrading know-how. I’ve worked for French, Japanese, English and American companies, and as area manager, my job was to do business with the local dealers, and those deals were often made at lunch. So, i know the best spots, fancy or modest but with the best food. A fantastic experience to share.

I love history also, so i can take you to the best places you can visit, monuments, museums, roman ruins and landscapes that will blow your mind.

We came into Porto on an Oceania cruise ship. We arrived at 9am so, we could not take full advantage of the 8 hour private tour. Gustavo picked us up at 930am in his pristinely clean Mercedes station wagon. We needed to be back on board by 530pm but needed to be a bit conservative since it wasn’t a ship sponsored tour. We arrived back at 440pm. Once picked up, we headed straight to the Douro Valley. Gustavo knew all the best vista points and brought us to them. We had a wonderful lunch and wine at Sandman, one of the finest port producers in Portugal. We had to skip the boat ride on the Douro River so that we could do most everything else. After lunch, we told Gustavo that we would rather tour around, looking for the best Vistas versus going to the wine tasting. We thoroughly enjoyed our choice. The excursion was fabulous and we’re thrilled that we got to witness the Douro Valley & Douro Valley. It was a high quality tour put on by a native of the area. The only reason I can’t give it a 10 for value is that we had to pay for some things we didn’t do. This said, we knew about all of this in advance of the tour. The Duoro Valley is Beautiful

We absolutely loved Gustavo. My husband and I are in our early 30s and with so many tour guide options it was hard to choose based on a few reviews and bios. But rolled the dice and we couldn't have felt luckier. Gustavo knows so much about his country and the wine and food. He's very genuine and a fun person, never felt like conversations were forced. The restaurant in Douro was incredible. He took care of us so well. So don't hesitate just book him. Best day in Porto!

We had a wonderful 3 hours with Gustavo. We laughed and just enjoyed a casual walk around Porto. We were able to see many of the things on “my list” by just walking with him. He shared so much that we would have never been able to learn without a guide. He is super knowledgeable but shared all of that in a very casual and relaxed way. My husband hates big tours and doing this type of experience is soooo worth it. Book Gustavo- you will love your time with him!!!Gustavo is awesome!

My family of 4 had the pleasure of taking a trip to the Douro Valley with Gustavo. We began by visiting the Croft vineyard, enjoying the views, and having a quick port tonic. We meandered through the valley and stopped at a few scenic points before heading to lunch at a traditional Portuguese restaurant that he recommended. Gustavo was very friendly, knowledgeable, and treated us as friends as he explained the history of Portugal and the valley. After lunch we stopped at Quinta da Pacheca for a wine tasting, with the wines picked by Gustavo himself. I would recommend this tour to all and cannot give Gustavo a high enough rating. We hope to return and see more of Portugal with him! Incredible day teip to Douro Valley

Gustavo took my family and I on a wonderful day to Coimbra, Aveiro and Mealhada. He was full of great stories, facts and useful information. We had lovely weather and saw the sights. Lunch at Mealhada was also outstanding. A memorable end to our séjour in Portugal. Great time with a fantastic guide

Wir hatten einen unvergesslichen Tag zusammen mit Gustavo im wunderschönen Douro~Tal. Obwohl die Sicht aufgrund der Waldbrände etwas eingeschränkt war, können wir sagen, dass der ganze Tag wunderschön war. Wir haben zwei tolle Weingüter besucht und den leckeren Wein verkostet. Gustavo hat uns sehr viel Wissenswertes erzählt und wir hatten eine lustige Fahrt mit tollen Erlebnissen und interessanten Gesprächen. Gustavo ist ein sehr sympathisches Reiseführer mit einem breiten Wissen, es war sehr angenehm mit ihm.Ein unvergesslicher Tag im Douro–Tal

Wir hatten eine wunderbare, informative Stadtführung mit Gustavo, bei der wir auch schöne Ecken abseits der üblichen Touristenroute sehen konnten, Das Highlight war ein super leckeres Mittagessen direkt bei den Fischern…. Dieses Juwel hätten wir alleine nie gefunden. Gustavo ist ein toller und sehr sympathischer Reiseführer mit großem Wissen. Er hat unseren ersten Besuch in Porto zu einem besonderen Erlebnis gemacht.Ein gelungener Tag in Porto

Our day in the Douro Valley with Gustavo was FANTASTIC - a highlight of our trip to Portugal. Gustavo was so down to earth, knowledgeable, and clearly knew the area like the back of his hand. He chose a restaurant for lunch which was superb. The wine tastings were great and their locations were also spectacularly beautiful. What a great day!Best way to see the Douro Valley!

Gustavo had a well presented a great car for the trip. He was punctual and catered the trip to our needs. Saw some fantastic areas of the valley and its history that was brought to life with Gustavo’s knowledge. The individual nature of the trip and easy going conversation with Gustavo made it a great day.Great day out in the Douro valley
