Dear all,

my name is Hermes, I'm 35 years old, I was born in Belgium (Gent) but I grew up in Italy. I speak fluently italian, english, french and flemish/dutch. Traveling has always been a part of my life story since an early age, as a natural heritage I got from my lovely parents. I traveled with them but also a lot alone. I have visited places like India, Iran, Armenia, Georgia, Turkey, Morocco, USA, and many places in Europe. But since 6 years my base has been Bologna where I've studied Anthropology. I graduated as a Master student in July 2019. I love Bologna because it's like a big village. You are constantly surrounded by history, buildings and stories that go far back in time. At the same time the city is fresh, lively, young, always something new, always something interesting to see or to do. Bologna is not too big or not too small, the perfect size, but it's surely dense, still after 6 years I can find little streets that I've never seen before. It's also a perfect city to satisfy one of my passions, which is photography. All you need to do is to take your camera and start wandering around the city and you will find some wonderful images to capture. I'm very glad I found Withlocals in order to have the opportunity to show you my Bologna and I hope to see you soon, I have many amazing spots and stories to let you know!

Hermes was very friendly and a pleasure to be with . His command of English was exceptional. Walking through the markets and smaller shops was a great way to experience the day to day lives of the Bolognese. We would not hesitate to do another tour with Hermes. No excuse for not eating well in Bologna

Our group of 5 had a lovely time w Hermes. The pace was perfect. He introduced us to iconic but hidden sites in bologna! Wonderful intro to bologna!

As we’re not totally new to Bologna or Italy in general, we asked Hermes for a tour that avoided the obvious and combined food with parts of his seven secrets tour. And yes he delivered! From tigalle to il secreto di Puccinelli, we learned a lot of new things and got a fascinating insight in the history and culture of this beautiful city. Nous avons passé un super moment avec Hermès. C'est comme se balader dans les rues de Bologne avec un ami qui nous ferait visiter. We had a good time touring around Bologna Centro with Hermes! He was kind enough to accept our booking with very short notice. He was also very flexible and creative in improvising new stuff considering that some establishments are still closed after the lockdown. The tour was a very good mix of history and the nice food that Bologna has to offer!

Me and my husband we had a wonderful 10 tasting tour together with Hermes. We really enjoyed the food and the city, and Hermes did a really good job, considering also Covid restrictions, and he even showed us some secret gems that were not programmed.
