Just a simple woman with a good taste for cooking and receiving friends. The idea is to introduce you to a traditional home meal, paired with good wines. I live with my two daughters and with a nice dog (if you don t like he will go for an holiday). Some years ago I decided to live in a nice comfortably city centre flat, in a 18th century building. I love history and art and Lisbon is full of historical examples of our long past as a country.

When we booked our trip to Lisbon, one of the first things we did was also book a visit to Isabel. This was our second time and it was just as lovely as the first time. An evening filled with wonderful food, laughter, good stories and fun. This dinner is an absolute recommandation to book if you visit Lisbon. Isabel is the best.

10/10! Wir waren zusammen mit unseren amerikanischen Freunden bei Isabel zu Besuch und es war wunderbar. Nach der herzlichen Begrüßung setzten wir uns an den gedeckten Tisch und waren mit Isabel sofort in interessante Gespräche vertieft. Sie hat eine wunderbare Energie, ist eine perfekte Gastgeberin und neben herrlichem Essen haben wir von ihr viel über Portugal , portugiesische Weine und Essen gelernt. Beim Abschied haben wir uns von einer Freundin verabschiedet.

From the moment we arrived, Isabel made us feel right at home and comfortable. She was a perfect hostess who not only cooked a fantastic meal, but went above and beyond setting up a beautiful ambiance in her home. We had a fantastic evening full of laughter, stories, adventures, and small anecdotes that made us feel as if we were truly a part of her amazing life and experiences. Isabel even helped us navigate the plans for the rest of our trip by providing very helpful advice that ended up saving us many hours of travel as well! To top it off, she also gave us an amazing list of recommendations for the rest of our stay. This was the highlight of our trip and we would highly recommend to anyone seeking a unique and personable experience in Lisbon!Amazing experience w. an amazing hostess!

Dinner at Isabel's was a truly wonderful experience. We were a group of four girlfriends and felt very warmly welcomed and were treated to several courses featuring regional ingredients and delicious recipes. The evening was filled with entertaining and interesting conversations. She really understands hospitality in all its facets and is a very communicative and warm person, as well as a fantastic cook. Thank you very much for this wonderful evening and this very special experience. I highly recommend it.A fantastic evening

After a week eating in (often wonderful) Lisbon restaurants, it was such a treat to be entertained in Isabel’s home. Her cooking is wonderful, her personality delightful, and she made us feel comfortable from the moment she called out to us from her little balcony (which we got to stand on and look out from ourselves). Overall a great evening. Highly recommended. Great meal and company

Isabel was just wonderful. Her apartment, the food, the wine, her dog, everything the food was outstanding and plentiful, and we sat and drank wine and talked about Lisbon and life in the world for hours. Couldn’t have been any better.Just perfect

Isabel is a charming, gregarious host who immediately puts guests at ease and soon feels like a longtime friend. She prepared a lovely array of appetizers, offering background on each dish that provides a glimpse into local culture and daily life. From delicious cheeses, to area wines and salads, Isabel shares a tasting menu from the heart. And her fish entrees and pork dish were filling and delicious. Me and my two friends spent a delightful evening with Isabel. She was warm and welcoming and prepared a great Portuguese meal for us! We enjoyed learning about the food, culture and local traditions. I would highly recommend this experience!Great food and fun!
