Hi there! My name is Janaina, and I’m passionate about exploring different cultures and cuisines, which always inspires me to learn something new. When I’m not diving into history or enjoying local culinary delights, you’ll likely find me out on a hike or cycling around, discovering hidden corners of the city.

I’m a PhD student in Education and Training Sciences, with a background in engineering, particularly in the environmental and renewable energy sectors. This mix of knowledge gives me a unique perspective in everything I do. I love sharing my discoveries with others, and the joy of doing so makes hosting such a fun and rewarding experience.

I’ve had the chance to live and learn in different countries, which has given me a broad and enriching view of different cultures and ways of life. This experience not only allows me to offer a warm welcome but also to share local tips, hidden gems, and some tasty food spots that go beyond the usual tourist guides, revealing what’s truly authentic and captivating about the area.

Janaina was an excellent guide to the wonderful city of Dijon. Unfortunately we only had a few hours in the city between trains so we are already planning to go back to explore the rest of Dijon with her.Great tour of Dijon with Janaina

We were celebrating our anniversary and decided to take a private guide as a treat. The hidden gems of Dijon was a perfect introduction to the city by a guide who loved her town. It was a splendid trip as our UK friends say and we recommend choosing Janaina! A day with a new friend

Janaina is an excellent tour guide. She clearly loves Dijon and sharing her city with those on the tour. She showed us so much more than one would expect by standing outside of a building; she described the context for the building/street/alley, its architecture and interesting features and how it fit into the life of Dijon. She was personable and engaging. We were not rushed from site to site. We sampled the mustards, enjoyed a light lunch on the square, toured a museum (on mustard ) and ended the day at sampling wines at Les Halles Gourmandes. It was our last day in Dijon and I now wish we would have scheduled this for our first day so we could go back to many of the sites she showed us.
